After the success of Knives Out (2019), Rian Johnson has confirmed that two more films are set to be released on Netflix, with the first being Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (2022). With this film feeling a bit more on the nose as the premise involves a murder-mystery dinner party gone wrong, there are sure to be plenty of laughs as well as plenty of intrigue when Detective Benoit Blanc hops back on the case. Leslie Odom Jr.

Leslie Odom Jr. will be taking on a more calculating role as his character synopsis briefly states that he is a scientist. Odom Jr. has had no problem playing characters of a highly-esteemed nature, and with a strong bravado about them, so his scientist should prove no different. Leslie Odom Jr.’s most prominent role comes not from the screen but from the stage, as the multi-talented actor was the first person to perform as Aaron Burr in the global hit musical Hamilton. Leslie is primarily known for his musical chops, having appeared on television series such as Smash and Central Park. He has gotten to portray a doctor in the past, providing the voice for Dr. Leslie in a guest role on the animated series We Bare Bears.

Kathryn Hahn

Kathryn Hahn will be playing a character of political power when she plays Claire Debella, the governor of Connecticut, looking to move up in the world by running for the Senate. Political characters in film are generally distrusted, so Hahn may get the chance to play a character with something to hide. Hahn has experience playing a scheming character, most recently playing Agatha Harkness in the MCU’s Disney Plus series Wandavision. She is set to reprise that role when she leads her own mini-series sometime in the near future.

Janelle Monáe

Janelle Monáe gets to take on the role of entrepreneur Cassandra Brand. Such a sophisticated role is perfect for Janelle Monáe, as the actress/singer carries herself with confidence and poise no matter the setting. Seeing her take on this role, and one that is going to be played closely to the other main characters, should give Monáe plenty of opportunities to work alongside her fellow actors. Janelle Monáe will be no stranger to a murderous scene, having taken a lead role in the film Antebellum (2020). Monáe has also taken part in many biographical films, such as Hidden Figures (2016), Harriet (2019), and The Glorias (2020). She has also notably lent her voice in the live-action adaptation of the Disney musical Lady and The Tramp (2019).

Edward Norton

Edward Norton takes on the role of the wealthy businessman who invites everyone to this murder-mystery dinner. Norton will get the chance to show off his eccentric personality in this film, leaving clues as to what his true motivations are for calling on these celebrities together for an evening of delight that has gone horribly wrong.

Edward Norton is one of the actors to have taken on the role of Bruce Banner/ The Incredible Hulk, having performed as the MCU version of the character before Mark Ruffalo took over. Appearing in five films as the iconic character, Daniel Craig has put audiences on the edges of their seats with incredibly explosive action. He’s also appeared on the opposite side of the law, playing the part of Joe Bang, an explosives expert featured in the film Logan Lucky (2017).
