God is a Bullet is director Nick Cassavetes’ upcoming thriller about a detective named Bob Hightower, who discovers that a satanic cult has not only murdered his ex-wife, but has also kidnapped his daughter. Furthermore, official police investigations into the crime yield zero results, so Bob takes matters into his own hands, quitting the force and infiltrating the cult on his own. Along the way, he finds help in Case Hardin, an escapee of the cult; together, they go deeper into the cult as they try to find Bob’s daughter.

God is a Bullet is adapted from the novel of the same name by Boston Teran, and, per Looper, entered production in May 2021. As of right now, no release date has been set for the film, but Collider released the film’s official first images in June 2021. In addition to its thrilling plot, of course, one of the major draws of Cassavetes’ film is surely the ensemble cast. Featuring familiar names like Jamie Foxx and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, fans will be in for a treat. Jamie Foxx

Jamie Foxx is set to star in a leading role as The Ferryman, and he is easily the most recognizable member of the God is a Bullet cast, already boasting a very successful movie career and string of acting credits and awards. He gained recognition through his self-titled sitcom The Jamie Foxx Show, which ran for five seasons between 1996 and 2001. After this, his career continued to thrive. Foxx won an Academy Award for his portrayal of Ray Charles in Ray, and would also star in titles such as Dreamgirls, Django Unchained, and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 as Electro (a role he reprised in last year’s Spider-Man: No Way Home).

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is set to star as Bog Hightower in God is a Bullet. Of course, he is most known for his role as Jaime Lannister in the HBO hit series Game of Thrones, which he starred in for all of its eight seasons. He would receive two Emmy Award nominations for his role and gain international recognition. He is also known in his native Denmark for titles such as Headhunters and Nightwatch.

January Jones

January Jones is set to play an undisclosed role. Prior to joining the God is a Bullet cast, she was best known for her role as Betty Draper in Mad Men, which she played from 2007 to 2015. For her performance in the AMC series, she has received a slew of major awards nominations, from the Golden Globes to the Emmys. Aside from Mad Men, Jones starred in notable films like X-Men: First Class and We Are Marshall, as well as TV shows like The Last Man on Earth and Spinning Out.

Maika Monroe

Maika Monroe will play Case Hardin in God is a Bullet. Audiences may recognize her from her breakthrough role as the lead in It Follows, a successful horror film that was critically acclaimed. She also starred in films such as The Guest, Tau, Greta, and Watcher. Earlier this year, she starred in the horror film Significant Other, opposite Jake Lacy.

Andrew Dice Clay

Andrew Dice Clay is a stand-up comedian, actor, and musician who has succeeded in multiple areas of the entertainment industry. He is most known for his comedy career as “The Diceman,” which led to him obtaining a leading role in The Adventures of Ford Fairlane. He has also appeared in successful films such as Blue Jasmine and 2018’s A Star is Born.

David Thornton

David Thornton is a well-established actor, who has multiple acting credits under his belt, like The Last Days of Disco. He is a frequent collaborator of Cassavetes, having starred in the director’s previous films, The Notebook, Alpha Dog, and The Other Woman. In God is a Bullet, Thornton is set to play Arthur Naci.

Jonathan Tucker

Prior to joining the God is a Bullet cast, Jonathan Tucker appeared in several iconic films such as The Virgin Suicides, the 2003 version of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Hostage, and the 2019 reboot of Charlie’s Angels. He is also known for his appearance in the successful show Westworld, and is sure to bring his talents to Cassavetes’ film.

Ethan Suplee

Ethan Suplee has lots of acting credits to his name, however, he is arguably most recognizable for his role as Randy Hickey in My Name Is Earl. He starred in the series for its entire run, playing the title character’s best friend. Suplee has also appeared in the Kevin Smith-directed Mallrats, Remember the Titans, and Blow. He has transformed his physique remarkably over the years, and we are excited to see what he will bring to the God is a Bullet cast in his role of Gutter.
