Godzilla vs. Kong star Rebecca Hall is ready to reprise Dr. Ilene Andrews’s role in the upcoming monster mash sequel, Godzilla and Kong. While she was unable to offer too much detail, Hall has now taken the time to heap praise on returning director Adam Wingard and the rest of the cast and crew.
One thing that Hall let slip while speaking with Herald Sun is the reveal that her character will share the screen with her Godzilla vs. Kong co-star Brian Tyree Henry’s character Bernie Hayes this time around. While the pair were kept separate in Godzilla vs. Kong, primarily due to Hall following King Kong into the Hollow Earth, it sounds like they will spend much of Godzilla and Kong together. No doubt bickering while working side-by-side to stop whatever titan-related mayhem has befallen the world.
“I had such a good time on the last one and I loved everyone involved in it. I loved [director] Adam Wingard – he’s such an eccentric visionary in terms of a filmmaker and I really enjoy just being a part of his neon-inflected universe. The people in it are great, and the people behind it are great.”

Rebecca Hall will join the likes of Brian Tyree Henry, Kaylee Hottle, Fala Chen, Alex Ferns, and Rachel House in Godzilla and Kong, with Beauty and the Beast and The Guest star Dan Stevens set to lead the project.
“I was really excited to get to work with Brian Tyree Henry who I didn’t get to work with on the last one and this time, we have a lot of stuff together so that was great. So, the whole thing was just delightful.”
Godzilla & Kong Will See the Titans Team Up Against Another Colossal Threat
Warner Bros.
While details of Godzilla and Kong are largely being kept under wraps, the official synopsis for the sequel does offer some clues. The most intriguing of which is that, this time, Godzilla and Kong will team up for the duration. “This latest entry follows up the explosive showdown of Godzilla vs. Kong with an all-new cinematic adventure, pitting the almighty Kong and the fearsome Godzilla against a colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world, challenging their very existence – and our own,” the synopsis reads. “The epic new film will delve further into the histories of these Titans, their origins and the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond, while uncovering the mythic battle that helped forge these extraordinary beings and tied them to humankind forever.”
The MonsterVerse is also due to stomp onto the small screen in Godzilla and the Titans. Led by father-son duo Kurt and Wyatt Russell, the series will pick up “following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco and the shocking new reality that monsters are real, the series explores one family’s journey to uncover its buried secrets and a legacy linking them to the secret organization known as Monarch.”
Directed by Adam Wingard, and written by Terry Rossio, Jeremy Slater, and Simon Barrett, Godzilla vs. Kong 2 aka Godzilla and Kong is scheduled to be released on March 15, 2024.
