Dolly Parton’s cameo finally gives us the 9 to 5 reunion that fans have been hoping for. Marta Kauffman, co-creator of Grace and Frankie, spoke with Variety about the writers trying to find a way to sneak Dolly into the show by any means necessary. She also commented on how much of a joy it was to work with the country music star.

For those out of the loop, 9 to 5 is a 1980 film starring Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Dolly Parton as three office working women who get roped into an unfortunate string of events together. The film was a smash hit at the box office and was adapted into a sitcom and a 2009 Broadway musical. While there have been rumors of a sequel, in 2019, it was announced the sequel was dropped. While we may never get a 9 to 5 sequel, the Grace and Frankie finale serves as a sweet and dignified tribute to the golden trio team and their timeless shenanigans.
