Grant Gustin is best known for his role as Barry Allen in The CW Arrowverse series The Flash. It’s a role that he originated in Arrow, and has continued to play in various crossover episodes with series like Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman. Rescued by Ruby is a 2022 biographical drama directed by Katt Shea. The story follows Dan (Gustin), who has dreams of joining the K-9 search and rescue team. After he is unsuccessful, he befriends a shelter dog named Ruby, and they become an unlikely pair. Gustin is strong in the leading role, and the story is endearing even if a little cheesy.

Arrow is a series that premiered on The CW in 2012 and ran for eight seasons until 2020. The series is based on the DC Comics character Green Arrow, and is the first in the Arrowverse, which would continue to develop on-screen with shows like The Flash. Arrow centers around Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), who spends his time fighting crime, and Gustin made his introduction in the series as The Flash prior to gaining his own titular show.
