Several new images from the upcoming horror sequel, Halloween Ends, tease the final battle between Michael Myers aka The Shape and Laurie Strode. Released by Total Film, the new images find Myers once again wielding his trusty blade, with Halloween Ends due to bring the legacy trilogy to its inevitable, bloody conclusion. You can check out the latest images from Halloween Ends below.

Halloween Ends is all set to pick up four years after the events of last year’s Halloween Kills. Laurie Strode is now living with her granddaughter Allyson and is finishing writing her memoir. Meanwhile, Michael Myers has not been seen since his last brutal rampage. Laurie, after allowing the specter of Michael to determine and drive her reality for decades, has decided to liberate herself from fear and rage and embrace life. But when a young man, Corey Cunningham, is accused of killing a boy he was babysitting, it ignites a cascade of violence and terror that will force Laurie to finally confront the evil she can’t control, once and for all.

The highly anticipated slasher finale will find franchise staple Jamie Lee Curtis starring as Laurie Strode for the last time, with Halloween Ends expected to end the decade-spanning conflict between the babysitter-turned-survivalist and the serial killer Michael Myers, who will be played once again by James Jude Courtney and Nick Castle.

The rest of the cast consists of Andi Matichak as Allyson Nelson, Laurie’s granddaughter; Will Patton as Deputy Frank Hawkins; Rohan Campbell as Corey Cunningham; Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace, one of the children Laurie babysat way back in 1978; Michael O’Leary as Dr. Mathis; and Omar Dorsey as Sheriff Barker.

Director David Gordon Green is Still Working on the Ending to Halloween Ends

While Halloween Ends has wrapped production, director David Gordon Green has revealed that he is still tweaking the ending. “It changes every day,” the filmmaker revealed. “In theory, the picture is locked, but this morning I called the editor and said, ‘What if we do this one thing…’ I speak with John [Carpenter] and Jamie Lee Curtis regularly about it. It’s exciting, uncertain, satisfying and sad. I’ve enjoyed the ride but it’s probably time to get off. I think we are gonna go out with a bang.”

Directed by David Gordon Green and written by Green, Danny McBride, Paul Brad Logan and Chris Bernier, Halloween Ends is scheduled to be released on October 14, 2022, by Universal Pictures. The slasher outing will also stream simultaneously on paid tiers of Peacock for 60 days.
