Nicole Buyer, Harvey Guillén, Jessica Lowe and Andrew Lewis Caldwell are headed to Comedy Central just in time for Halloween. The four will star in the supernatural comedy thriller Cursed Friends. The film is a collaboration between Will Arnett’s Electric Avenue and Propagate, and will include an appearance by Arnett. The film’s cast also includes Joey Fatone, James Austin Johnson, Nikki Glaser, Kathy Griffin, Nicole Richie, Ken Marino and Rob Riggle.
According to Deadline, the film, which will debut October 8, follows a group of four friends who wake up on Halloween only to realize that a predict-your-future game of M.A.S.H. (Mansion Apartment Shack House) that they played in 2002 is starting to come true for them in hilarious and disturbing ways. They must band together to help each other escape the wild fates that have turned their lives upside down – from having 100 kids with the hometown loser, to leading a cult, to marrying NSYNC’s Joey Fatone.

Cursed Friends is directed by Laura Murphy, whose directing credits include episodes multiple of comedy series including Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens, The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show and Adam Ruins Everything. It is written by brothers Aaron Eisenberg and Will Eisenberg (Into The Dark: Good Boy), and Luke Kelly-Clyne serves as producer. Cursed Friends is executive produced by Arnett, Marc Forman and Evan Thompson for Electric Avenue, Ben Silverman, Howard T. Owens, Drew Buckley and Isabel San Vargas for Propagate, Peter Principato and Joel Zadak for Artists First, and Ari Pearce and Andrew Lutin for MTV Entertainment Studios. Zachary Halley serves as co-executive producer, Kristyn Deignan is supervising producer and Harold Berón III is executive in charge of production.

Byer is known as the host of Netflix’s comedic baking competition Nailed It! For her work on the show, she has received two Emmy Award nominations. The comedian has made several notable guest star appearances in comedy series including 30 Rock, Family Guy, The Good Place, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Her first full-length comedy special, Nicole Byer: BBW (Big Beautiful Weirdo), aired on Netflix last December. Byer received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special for the Netflix special.
Guillén is best known as Guillermo de la Cruz on FX’s dark comedy series What We Do in the Shadows. He has starred in the series since its inception in 2019. He has also appeared on Huge, The Thundermans, Eye Candy, The Magicians, and in the 2013 film The Internship.
Lowe stars on HBO’s Minx as Bambi. The series was recently renewed for a second season. In 2022, the actress also had a recurring role on Danny McBride’s The Righteous Gemstones. Caldwell is best known for his appearances on iZombie, Henry Danger, and the 2008 film College.
Will Arnett has appeared in many comedy films and television series, including the critically acclaimed Arrested Development, 30 Rock and BoJack Horseman. In 2022, he starred in Netflix’s Murderville, an improvised detective comedy series. He currently is the co-host of the comedy podcast SmartLess, alongside Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes.
