Where will the MCU go next? With Moon Knight concluding its first season and the Multiverse of Madness being restored (kind of), Marvel fans are eagerly looking forward to the next project that the MCU will dish out. That next project is the Ms. Marvel television series set to hit Disney+ in June and will feature Kamala Khan in the titular role.
As of right now, hype for the show is a little low, but that’s only because the MCU has been so jam-packed with other content in the past month and a half. Fans have seen Moon Knight concluding, Doctor Strange 2 releasing, a She-Hulk teaser dropping, and both the Thor 4 teaser and official trailer coming out. All of which have happened since the Ms. Marvel trailer debuted.
Regardless, Ms. Marvel is the next MCU project up to bat. Hopefully, Marvel will be releasing some new footage or a trailer to get fans excited about the series, especially since Kamala Khan is the first teenage hero in the MCU to get her own show. Keeping that in mind, it warrants asking – how will Ms. Marvel compare to the other teenage MCU superheroes?
Ms. Marvel Compared to Spider-Man, Shuri, & Kate Bishop
There’s a reason we’re putting these three into one specific category and not giving them single comparisons like the other teenage superheroes – they aren’t teenagers. At least they aren’t anymore. When Spider-Man entered the MCU, he was just a kid from Queens, but he’s now old enough to be in college, has traveled to space, fought villains from another universe, and has firmly established himself as one of the hard-hitters of the Avengers. Long story short – he’s not a kid anymore.

Shuri might not have the exact same resume as Peter Parker, but she’s basically in the same boat. She’s gone toe-to-toe against villains like Killmonger and Thanos and has aged a few years since her debut in 2018, taking her out of the running for qualifying as a teen.
Kate Bishop is a little different since she very recently made her MCU debut and hasn’t gone up against villains or circumstances like Peter or Shuri have, but she still can’t really be classified as a teenage hero. In the Hawkeye show, she’s in college, and it’s noted that she’s 22 years old. Argue all you want – 22 years old is an adult.
Ms. Marvel Compared to America Chavez
So, what teenage MCU heroes are left? Not a lot, actually. But luckily, the MCU is remedying that right now with the inclusion of several younger heroes – one of which made her MCU debut in Multiverse of Madness, Ms. America Chavez. The young hero took Doctor Strange on a wild adventure that involved saving the teenager from Wanda/Scarlet Witch and eventually using her powers to help defeat the sorceress.
While the extent of America’s powers wasn’t fully explained, she was also seen at the end of the movie learning how to become a sorceress herself. Take her powers of being able to travel through the multiverse and combine them with the magical powers of a sorceress – that equals one pretty unstoppable hero. While Ms. Marvel is geared up to pack a pretty powerful punch herself, it might be safe to say that America Chavez would still be able to handle her.
Ms. Marvel Compared to Billy & Tommy Maximoff
The 616 versions of Wanda’s kids might be fake, but they’re real in every other universe, which means they could make their way back to the main MCU timeline. So, with the young heroes potentially making other appearances in the future, how would they stack up against a cosmic hero like Ms. Marvel? Still pretty well.

The extent of the boy’s powers is unknown as they were figments of Wanda’s imagination in universe 616. Still, if their powers hold true in every other universe, then that means Tommy has the ability of super speed, and Billy has the ability of telekinesis. Basically, Tommy inherited his uncle’s powers, and Billy got a version of Wanda’s.
With that in mind, the Maximoff boys would probably be able to handle Ms. Marvel with no problem. Ms. Marvel could potentially keep up with Tommy’s speed, but Billy would be able to fend off her cosmic powers with his telekinetic energy. One-on-one, the brothers might not be able to stop Kamala. But together, they’re a powerful duo.
Ms. Marvel Compared to Teenage Groot
Why not? While Groot’s age has jumped back and forth across the MCU timeline, his current version is now a teenage version of himself, and as a proper MCU hero, he deserves to be given the same comparison. However, the answer to this question could get tricky. While Groot wouldn’t physically be able to overpower Ms. Marvel and her cosmic abilities, he does have the power of regeneration. Not only that, but his limbs are so powerful that he was able to use his own arm as the handle of Stormbreaker.
Keeping all of that in mind, it’s safe to say that Groot could at least put up one heck of a fight, even if the end result would ultimately be a loss.
