Jack has gone rogue in the new trailer for Jack Ryan Season 3. Coming courtesy of Prime Video, the footage finds Tom Clancy’s unwavering hero back in action in the latest outing, which shows John Krasinski reprising the role of Jack Ryan and on the run after he is wrongly implicated in another political conspiracy. Jack Ryan first began back in 2018, and finds The Office star John Krasinski shaking off the goofier everyman charm that made him successful in the sitcom and slipping into something a lot more action hero-esque. Though very much still an everyman action hero, of course. When CIA analyst Jack Ryan stumbles upon a suspicious series of bank transfers at the beginning of the first season, his search for answers pulls him from the safety of his desk job and catapults him into a deadly game of cat and mouse throughout Europe and the Middle East, with a rising terrorist figurehead preparing for a massive attack against the US and her allies.

After finding his footing for explosion and gunshots, Jack Ryan Season 2 finds the intrepid CIA operative tracking a suspicious shipment in the Venezuelan jungle, and heading to South America to investigate. As Jack threatens to uncover a far-reaching conspiracy, the President of Venezuela launches a counter-attack that hits home, leading Jack on a mission spanning the US, UK, Russia, and Venezuela to unravel the president’s plot and bring stability to a country on the brink of chaos.
Jack Ryan Season 3 Finds the CIA Agent on the Run
The third season of the action-thriller series begins with Jack Ryan working as a CIA case officer in Rome, when he is tipped off that the Sokol Project, a secret plan to restore the Soviet Empire, is being resurrected more than 50 years after it was thought to have been shut down. Jack embarks on a mission to confirm the intelligence, but things quickly go awry, and he is wrongly implicated in a larger conspiracy.
Accused of treason, with a Red Notice out for his arrest, Jack is forced to run from his own government, if he has any hope of uncovering the rogue faction before it’s too late. Crisscrossing Europe as he is hunted by former allies and new enemies alike, Jack races against the clock to stop the cascade of destabilizing conflicts from leading to global catastrophe.
There really is nothing quite like a spy being forced to go rogue, and it should certainly make Jack Ryan Season 3 one to watch.
Jack Ryan stars John Krasinski in the title role, with Wendell Pierce and Michael Kelly reprising their roles as CIA Officer James Greer and former CIA Officer Mike November, respectively. Joining the cast this season are Nina Hoss as Czech President Alena Kovac and Betty Gabriel as CIA Rome Station Chief Elizabeth Wright.
Jack Ryan Season 3 is scheduled to debut on December 21, 2022, on Prime Video. You can stream the first two seasons now if you need to catch up. The series has already been renewed for a fourth season.
