After getting the chance to cross off the Marvel Cinematic Universe on the to-do list for her career, Jameela Jamil is doing all she can to land a role in the Star Wars universe, going so far as to literally pray for divine intervention. This year, we saw Jamil make her MCU debut at the villain Titania in the Disney+ series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. It’s the latest major franchise she’s gotten to be a part of after her roles in others including Jurassic World, Star Trek, and Pitch Perfect. She’s even found herself on the other side of the spectrum in the comic book movie realm with her role as Wonder Woman in the DC movie DC League of Super-Pets.

So, what’s next for Jamil, who seems to love popping up in one huge franchise to another? In a new interview with Collider, the actress admits that she intentionally goes for these kinds of roles, as she can’t help but nerding out as a big fan of each of these franchises. With the big ones she’s already got on her resume, Jamil feels that Star Wars is naturally the next big win for her to shoot for. Hoping to increase her odds of getting an offer Jamil says she even prays at night for the opportunity.

Meanwhile, Jamil also says she was “devastated” over missing out on the Fast and Furious series after hearing that it’s soon coming to its end. The plan is to make an eleventh and final film after the upcoming Fast X, however, so there’s still a chance for Jamil to get that opportunity. In any case, John Wick is also high up on her list, as Jamil also stresses.

Jamil will serve as the narrator of the upcoming film The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight. She also continues to voice Ensign Asencia on Star Trek: Prodigy and can now be seen in the new series Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin on Peacock.
