James Corden recently addressed his restaurant behavior while promoting his upcoming Prime Video series Mammals.
According to People, the soon-to-be former host of The Late Late Show broke his silence on his restaurant behavior and Balthazar owner Keith McNally’s remarks about how rude Corden was to his staff in a recent interview with The New York Times to promote his upcoming series Mammals, coming to Prime Video. On Monday, McNally banned Corden from his restaurant and called him “the most abusive customer to my Balthazar servers since the restaurant opened 25 years ago.” In a follow-up post hours later, the owner then said he had lifted the ban after Corden had “apologized profusely.”

In the New York Times interview published on Thursday, the late-night talk show host said, “I haven’t done anything wrong, on any level. So why would I ever cancel this [interview]? I was there. I get it. I feel so Zen about the whole thing. Because I think it’s so silly. I just think it’s beneath all of us. It’s beneath you. It’s certainly beneath your publication.”
Corden, who was recently roasted at the White House Correspondents Dinner, then proceeded to make a case that his behavior was normal restaurant behavior by pointing to a woman who had returned her eggs in the restaurant where the interview was being conducted. Forgetting that an order at an eatery can be returned rudely or politely, and not providing any context about how he acted compared to how the woman had acted in the same situation, the comedian remarked to the NYT’s journalist: “Can you imagine now, if we just blasted her on Twitter? Would that be fair?”
Try Wife Claims She Heard James Corden Yell at a Bus Boy
The Try Guys
Becky Habersberger, the wife of Try Guys member Keith Habersberger, doesn’t believe that “James Corden is really sorry” for his behavior. She recently took to TikTok to recount an experience she had where Corden was allegedly yelling at a Los Angeles busboy.
Habersberger released a TikTok video on Tuesday detailing the incident. In the video she recalls the experience, saying, “I overhear [a] busboy telling James Corden that Little Dom’s is closed right now… They close in the middle of the day between lunch and dinner,” the influencer recounted about the incident which took place at the Italian eatery in Los Feliz, Calif.
“[The busboy] is telling James Corden he can get him a reservation right when they open,” Habersberger added. “He was trying to be really accommodating,” but Corden “yells at this bus boy, ‘A lot of good that does me, mate, a lot of good that does me.’”
