New details have been teased for The Haunted Mansion, a new take on the spooky story in the works at Disney with Jamie Lee Curtis in a starring role. As of now, Curtis can be seen on the big screen with her new movie Halloween Ends now playing on theaters, though it can also be streamed on Peacock. She ha no plans to make any more Halloween movies at this time, though she’s not taking an exit from horror, given her upcoming role in The Haunted Mansion.
In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Curtis divulged some new details about the film, though she couldn’t reveal anything too specific. She teased that while it will have its scary moments, it has a lot of humor as well. Curtis goes on to say that director Justin Simien has cooked up “something yummy” with what’s in store for fans with The Haunted Mansion. As Curtis explains:

At the risk of angering the House of Mouse, Curtis did share one fun fact about The Haunted Mansion. She teased that her character wears the most beautiful outfits she’s ever put on in a movie, and while that doesn’t tell us anything about the plot, it does suggest we’ll be seeing Curtis in a different way than ever before.
The Haunted Mansion will be arriving in August 2023. Along with Curtis, The Haunted Mansion stars Rosario Dawson, LaKeith Stanfield, Owen Wilson, Jared Leto, Danny DeVito, and Tiffany Haddish.
