While discussing the third and final season of her Audible podcast Letters from Camp with PEOPLE, Jamie Lee Curtis said she would be open to joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). This comes after how, way back in May, Curtis started poking fun at Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

In a series of Instagram posts, Curtis drew many similarities between Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and her most recent film, Everything Everywhere All at Once. Both films were tales spanning multiple universes that dealt with existential themes over being unsatisfied with how your life turned out. However, while one was this big tentpole studio film, the other was a much smaller indie movie.

Kicking Up Dust

Perusing the actress’ social media, Curtis made it clear that between the two films, one was clearly superior. Everything Everywhere All at Once, unlike “other multiverse wannabe movies,” had old-school special effects with real people/real places, would slay in a family feud contest, and cost less to make than the entire craft survive budget of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

In her own words, Curtis is “a collaborating artist” who works with many people on many different things. So if a role was interesting enough and she could bring what she does to it, she would work with Marvel. Of course, Curtis doesn’t expect the studio to come calling after she “kicked up some dust.” She would also find it hard to imagine that Marvel’s going to have a role requiring a 64-year-old woman.

Bruce Campbell, who, like Curtis, has quite the extensive horror movie resume, has also expressed reluctance over being in a superhero movie for similar reasons—citing having to wear uncomfortable superhero suits for multiple hours a day and working with stuff that’s not really there. Of course, Campbell did very well in making cameos in superhero movies, so maybe that’s how Marvel will be able to fit Curtis in as well.
