For years, the tabloids speculated about why her marriage to fellow actor Brad Pitt didn’t work out, blaming her for being selfish and only caring about her career, which she thoroughly denies. She confesses to getting frustrated with this false narrative, and that it finally triggered her to write the op-ed on the Huffington Post in 2016, criticizing the media for spreading unfounded gossip:

“For the record, I am not pregnant. What I am is fed up. I’m fed up with the sport-like scrutiny and body-shaming that occurs daily under the guise of ‘journalism,’ the ‘First Amendment’ and ‘celebrity news.’

She’s very active on Instagram, and promotions about her new hairline seem to pop up everywhere, but we learned that she hates social media, she actually feels like she’s not good at it. She confesses that the reason why she joined Instagram, where she now has over 40 million followers, was to launch her hairline, but that didn’t initially happen as planned because the pandemic hit, and she was then stuck being on Instagram.
