While actor Jeremy Renner is still in the ICU following a freak accident that left him critically injured, his spirits seem to be high as seen in a new video shared online. On New Year’s Day, Renner was hospitalized when the Sno-Cat he was using had wound up running him over, causing extensive injuries. He has since returned to social media to thank fans for the support, and on Thursday, Renner shared a new video of himself in the ICU with some family present to help him with feel better.
In the video, a groggy Renner exclaims how he’s getting cleaned up with the help of his family and a shampoo cap. They sarcastically joke about how Renner looks “sexy” in his current condition, with the Hawkeye star commenting that he’s “gross” after having his “first shower in definitely a week or so.”

Previously, Renner shared a selfie from his hospital bed to break his silence following the accident. He thanked everyone for their kind words, as there had been an immense outpouring of support for the actor when news broke of the incident.
“Thank you for all your kind words,” he said. “I’m too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all.”

Jeremy Renner Is Recovering in the ICU

The accident was originally reported as a “weather-related incident” and it wasn’t clear what happened with Renner. Police have subsequently shared more details, noting that the Mayor of Kingstown star had been pulled under the Sno-Cat he’d been using in a freak accident. After he was airlifted to the hospital inc critical condition, police impounded the Sno-Cat as they conduct an investigation. The snow plowing machine is designed to have extensive safety features to prevent such accidents, and investigators want to determine what exactly went wrong.
“Jeremy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, Washoe County Sheriff Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve, and the Carano and Murdock families,” a statement from the actor’s publicist read after the incident. “They are also tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans.”
