As he’s still recovering in the hospital, this is probably not the best birthday Jeremy Renner has ever had, but fans worldwide are doing their best to help the injured actor to feel a bit better on his special day. Turning 52 years old, Renner had been critically injured on New Year’s Day while operating a Sno-Cat snowplowing vehicle. A freak accident had resulted in the vehicle crushing Renner, resulting in extensive injuries and emergency surgery to save his life.
Renner has since returned to social media, though it’s in a limited capacity as he continues to recover. Getting on Twitter, he’s been able to see some of the many happy birthday messages that have been getting sent his way. Using emojis, he personally responded to one video posted by The BASE Chicago featuring a group of students dancing while the “It’s your birthday” part of 50 Cent’s “In Da Club” plays on the loudspeakers. Some students are holding letters that spell out “J-R-E-N-N-E-R.”

The actor also responded to another post that had been sent to him from a Mayor of Kingstown fan account. Referring to him as their “Mayor,” the birthday post includes an image of the actor surrounded by balloons and a birthday banner. Renner responded with a “Thank you” along with using emoji to express his gratitude.
