Continuing his recovery from home following a brutal snowplowing accident at the start of the new year, Jeremy Renner is feeling grateful for the immense support he’s been given throughout the whole ordeal. On Instagram, the Mayor of Kingstown star shared a new image revealing a look at how therapy is going. He also revealed just how devastating his injuries had been, including 30 broken bones, but as Renner notes, it really helped to have an outpouring of love and support from so many people.

On Jan. 1, Renner had been plowing snow outside his home using a Sno-Cat snowplowing vehicle. A freak accident led to him getting crushed by the vehicle, suffering blunt chest trauma and other significant injuries that left him in critical condition in the ICU. Upon slowly getting better, Renner had been posting updates from his hospital bed to fans before recently heading home to continue his recovery. Meanwhile, police impounded the Sno-Cat to determine why its safety measures, designed to prevent such accidents, failed.

“Thank you all for your kind words,” Renner said in a separate post sharing his first selfie since the accident. “I’m too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all.”

Renner has also been encouraging fans to check out the second season of his series Mayor of Kingstown. The actor’s accident happened just two weeks ahead of the show’s premiere, and even though he was still in the hospital at that time, Renner still wanted to remind fans of season 2’s premiere on Paramount+ when it happened. He had shared multiple posts on social media touting the return of the series. Fans, and Renner, have been waiting for that day since 2021, when the first season debuted on the streaming platform.

“Are you excited for Mayor of Kingstown season 2? This season cooks,” Renner says in one of the posts on Instagram.
