One of the most iconic vehicles from Breaking Bad, other than the RV of course, would certainly be the El Camino. The car was featured in the final season of Breaking Bad, with Aaron Paul’s Jesse Pinkman seen speeding off in the vehicle in the final episode. Paul and the El Camino would both return for Netflix’s El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie in 2019, picking up right from where the show left off to reveal what would come next for Jesse and the titular automobile.

Jesse would ultimately part ways with the El Camino, though behind the scenes, the screen-used vehicle seen the Netflix movie now has a new owner. Per KOB4, the car was sold at auction in Scottsdale, and it went for a bit cheaper than one might think, as it was sold for $23,650. It’s an excellent buy for a Breaking Bad superfan, as the interior has even been signed by Breaking Bad stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul along with the show’s creator, Vince Gilligan. Better yet, the car is fully drivable and even comes with upgrades that were installed because of the film.

Per auction house Barrett-Jackson, the car’s listing reads, “To prep the car for the scenes and to make sure it ran and drove well, an already solid-running engine and carburetor were tuned up, and it was given new tires, alignment, brakes, U-joints, front shocks and air ride on the rear. Inserts were added to the bed so the body would slide easily, and the SS stripes on the outside were color-matched. A camper shell, vinyl top and Z/28 rims were added to complete the look of the exterior. On the rear bumper, there are black stickers to give the illusion of holes.”

El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie Brought Closure to Jesse’s Story

Vince Gilligan wrote and directed El Camino. Part sequel and part epilogue, the film primarily focuses on Aaron Paul’s Jesse Pinkman, filling in the blanks of what happens with that character after the events of Breaking Bad. The film also brought back many other fan favorites for special appearances, like Bryan Cranston as Walter White, Krysten Ritter as Jane, Charles Baker as Skinny Pete, Matt Jones as Badger, and Jonathan Banks as Mike. It also features late actor Robert Forster in one of his final roles, as he passed away on the same day El Camino was released in 2019.
