Coming out on stage at Disney’s D23 Expo was bittersweet for actor John Stamos, who was present to help promote his Disney+ series Big Shot. Back in January, Stamos lost his longtime best pal and Full House co-star Bob Saget who passed away at the age of 65. Because Saget had always been there to celebrate every new step Stamos had taken with his career, Stamos was very much missing his friend at D23, and he took the time to pay tribute.
As reported by Deadline, Stamos remembered the last time he had spent with Saget when the pair just so happened to go to Disneyland. Getting emotional and holding back tears, Stamos now declares that occasion to be his new favorite memory, falling back upon an old quote from Winnie the Pooh that felt appropriate to the situation.

“I don’t remember what rides we went on, I don’t remember what we ate, I do remember the feelings we felt,” Stamos said. “We felt the unspoken love that happens between grown men dressed in pajamas. Winnie the Pooh said, ‘Every day I spend with you is my favorite day.’ Every day I spent with Bob was my favorite day, especially that day at Disneyland. Being able to share this memory with you here today is my new favorite memory. Bob never left anything on the table. He was bombastic with his love.”
Stamos added, “Let’s be present. As you know we can never reclaim that time with people. There is such goodness possible. there are compassionate souls ready to help. It’s our Disney duty. I ask you this, please let the job and happiness that is created in this magical place in here, to stay with us out there.”
Saget and Stamos previously starred together as part of an ensemble cast for eight seasons of the classic sitcom Full House. The show aired from 1987 to 1995. The two reprised their respective roles as Danny Tanner and Jesse Katsopolis in the sequel series Fuller House which had a five-season run on Netflix from 2016 to 2020. Behind the scenes, Saget and Stamos were also known to spend time together frequently along with Dave Coulier and other members of the Full House family.
