It’s been exceptionally hard for John Stamos to cope with the death of his close friend Bob Saget. The two had known each other dating back to their time on Full House and had only grown closer ever since. Years after that series had ended, Saget and Stamos were frequently seen together for both personal and professional situations. Stamos had even served last the roast master at Comedy Central’s Roast of Bob Saget.
Everything changed when Saget passed away earlier this month at the age of 65. Because he was still active and so full of life, the news came as a shocker for many, Stamos included. While he’s still trying to wrap his mind around the loss, Stamos does take some comfort in remembering his last memory of Saget. As Stamos told The New York Times, Saget was very calm at the time which struck Stamos as unusual, but it seems that the late comedian was at peace before he died.

Initially, Saget and Stamos clashed on the set of Full House. Stamos believes this is because he came from a dramatic acting background while Saget was a professional comic, and they had a styles clash at first. They grew to become very close friends by being there for each other through hard times. Stamos was there when Saget went through a divorce, and Saget was of service to the whole Stamos family when John’s father passed away.
Bob Saget Will Never Be Forgotten
ABC
These kinds of stories are not surprising, given the reputation Saget has. He is very well known for being just as warm and kind as he was hilarious, and friends, family, and fans everywhere have felt the pain of losing such a wonderful person. Weeks later, tributes and memories of Saget are still coming in as his legacy lives on.
Fans can always go back and check out Saget’s classic comedy material to keep the laughter coming, and there’s no doubt that Full House will air in syndication forever, bringing in new fans of the classic sitcom for some time to come. Rest in peace, Bob Saget.
