Earlier this year, fans and friends of Bob Saget were devastated to lose the beloved Full House star when he passed away suddenly at the age of 65. It has been especially hard on those who knew Saget best, such as one of his best friends, John Stamos. With a friendship dating back decades, Stamos and Saget had previously co-starred on Full House before reprising their roles for the sequel series Fuller House.

Since Fuller House ended its run after five seasons on Netflix, some fans have wondered if the series might one day return with a third series to further expand that world. The possibility was brought up to Stamos in a recent interview with E! News while the actor was promoting his Disney+ series Big Shot. Stamos says that while he loves keeping Saget’s memory alive by paying tribute as often as he can, he feels that another Full House series just wouldn’t be the same without Danny Tanner. From the interview:

“It’s just not the same without him. There’s something missing, there’s a piece missing. We’re doing a lot of tributes. I did that Netflix tribute [June’s Dirty Daddy: The Bob Saget Tribute], which was beautiful, I thought. Every chance I get, I talk about him. If we’re real quiet, we could hear him complaining right now that I don’t talk about him enough. We’ll continue to do tributes to him, but I don’t know about a Full House one, though.”

Will Fullest House Ever Happen?

There are no plans for another Full House series to happen, but this is something other cast members have addressed. This includes Saget himself, as Stamos also mentioned a joke his late friend liked to tell about Fullest House. Imagining himself to be the first one to go, Saget would often quip that Fullest House could feature the surviving members of the family keeping Danny around in an urn, maintaining a relationship with him.

After Saget’s passing, series stars Dave Coulier, Candace Cameron Bure, and Andrea Barber all suggested to People magazine they’d be open to doing Fullest House. Coulier said he’d be up for it “in a heartbeat,” as the new show could pay tribute to Saget. Barber also said she believed that “Bob would want that.”

“Bob had a joke, and it was like, ‘We did Full House, we did Fuller House, next is gonna be Fullest House.’ And he was very… he projected a lot. But he said, ‘Fullest House would be like, you know, the family and me in an urn on the fireplace. And we talk to him and we hug the urn.”

While this was before Saget’s death, Jodie Sweetin also said last year that she’d be up for doing another Full House series, but perhaps in a couple of decades when it could serve as the Golden Girls version of the show. As she told The Morning Show in Australia:

“I don’t know, I guess never say never. If you would have asked me twenty years ago if I would be coming back someday to play Stephanie Tanner as an adult I would have been like, I don’t think that is going to happen. Who knows, in another 10, 15, 20 years we do Fullest House and I get to finally portray my Bea Arthur wannabe as one of The Golden Girls.”
