New music from Johnny Depp and Jeff Beck is on the way. In recent days, Depp has been popping up at different stops on Beck’s tour in the UK with the two performing multiple songs together on stage. At a show in Gateshead, Beck dropped another big surprise for the Depp fans in attendance by revealing that they’ve made an album, and that it’s going to be available as soon as next month.
“I’m gonna take this opportunity and tell you I met this guy five years ago, and we’ve never stopped laughing since,” Beck said, per Stereogum. “We actually made an album. I don’t know how it happened. It will be out in July.”
MOVIEWEB VIDEO OF THE DAY
Depp and Beck have collaborated in the past, and that includes releasing a song and music video for a cover of John Lennon’s “Isolation.” They have been performing this song on stage in recent days as well, and have covered other artists including The Beatles, Dennis Wilson, Marvin Gaye, Jimi Hendrix, and Killing Joke. Videos of Depp rocking out on stage with Beck had gone viral shortly before the verdict in Depp’s defamation trial was read.
It’s unclear if Depp will show up at additional tour dates in the UK for Beck, but upcoming shows include the Symphony Hall in Birmingham on June 6 and a stop at York Barbican on June 7.
Johnny Depp Says He Got His Life Back After the Trial

The jury ruled heavily in Depp’s favor with the trial, agreeing that Amber Heard had defamed her ex-husband on all three counts of defamation. The actor released a statement afterward praising the decision while stating that the outcome of the trial had given him his life back.
“Six years ago, my life, the life of my children, the lives of those closest to me, and also, the lives of the people who for many, many years have supported and believed in me were forever changed.
All in the blink of an eye,” Depp said in his statement, referring to when Heard went public with domestic abuse allegations. “False, very serious and criminal allegations were levied at me via the media, which triggered an endless barrage of hateful content, although no charges were ever brought against me. It had already traveled around the world twice within a nanosecond and it had a seismic impact on my life and my career.”
He added, “And six years later, the jury gave me my life back. I am truly humbled. From the very beginning, the goal of bringing this case was to reveal the truth, regardless of the outcome. Speaking the truth was something that I owed to my children and to all those who have remained steadfast in their support of me. I feel at peace knowing I have finally accomplished that.”
Chances are, fans will be seeing a lot more of Depp in upcoming movie roles as well with his name officially cleared in the eyes of many.
