Fargo has always delivered a new, star-studded cast for each season of the anthology series, and Season 5 will be no different. Whether it’s Billy Bob Thornton, Kristen Dunst, Ewan McGregor, or Chris Rock, Fargo has secured high-level talent for the crime/thriller series year after year. Reports from Deadline confirm Season 5 will see Juno Temple, Jon Hamm, and Jennifer Jason Leigh star in the show, a welcome addition for fans of the series.
Fargo Season 5 will be set in the most modern time period to date, taking place in 2019. Little is known about the plot; however, FX issued a press release asking, “when is a kidnapping not a kidnapping, and what if your wife isn’t yours?” For now, that’s all the information that was given surrounding the story of Season 5, but it poses exciting questions nonetheless. Fans of the series know the anthology constantly has interesting dilemmas within each season of the show. Whether it’s following a violent hit man and an insurance salesman he meets, attempting to hide a fatal hit-and-run, a bitter rivalry between two brothers, or a noir-style mafia story. Viewers can look forward to yet another compelling season with the release of Season 5.
