The supposed final outing in the Jurassic franchise, Jurassic World: Dominion, will receive an extended edition when it lands on Digital, 4K Ultra HD, and Blu-ray next week. Universal Pictures will give fans even more dino-action for their buck with an extra 14 minutes of footage “featuring more dinosaurs, action, iconic character moments and an alternate opening.” Not only that, the home release will also feature a stack of extras, allowing viewers to delve into the VFX, how the dinosaurs were brought to life, and a whole host of other behind-the-scenes goings-on. While the list of bonus features exclusive to the home release includes a short film directed by Colin Trevorrow set one year after previous installment Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, a look into the work of the magicians at ILM, the cast and filmmakers discussing the evolution of the franchise, and much more, it is the extended edition that will surely have fans most excited.

The Jurassic World: Dominion Extended Edition Will be Released Later This Month

Adding an extra 14 minutes of footage brings the runtime of Jurassic World: Dominion to a butt-aching 2 hours and 40 minutes, and should provide plenty of dinosaur-infused action as the likes of Owen Grady and Alan Grant run around for even longer than ever before.
