There is no question that Kat Dennings is an extremely talented actor. Her career has spanned across several genres including comedy, drama, and science-fiction. 7 The 40-Year-Old Version

In the acclaimed film The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Dennings plays a pessimistic teenage girl who is constantly fighting with her mother (Catherine Keener). Although Dennings plays a supporting character, she is an absolute scene-stealer. She completely embodies the frustration and insecurities that come with being a teenager, and she worked great with Steve Carell and Keener.

6 Charlie Bartlett

Dennings is absolutely charming as Susan Gardner in Charlie Bartlett. She plays the rebellious daughter of a high school principal (Robert Downey Jr.) who becomes romantically involved with the main character, Charlie Bartlett (Anton Yelchin). Dennings, once again, embodies the persona of a struggling teenager and gives a very honest performance. The chemistry between her and Yelchin was top-notch, and she delivers both comedic and dramatic moments.

5 Daydream Nation

Dennings gives a fantastic performance as the lead in Daydream Nation. She plays a high school student struggling to navigate love and life. She is charismatic and charming from beginning to end. Dennings shows the struggles and turmoils that come from relationships, and she delivers a fantastic dramatic performance showcasing the pain and struggles of growing up.

4 Dollface

In the Hulu series Dollface, Dennings plays Jules Wiley, a web designer who reunites with her women friends after the ending of her relationship. Dennings gives a charming performance in every episode and gives an honest portrayal of a 30-something woman navigating love and friendship. She proved, once again, that she can lead a television series with ease. At the same time, her chemistry with the rest of the cast was great. Earlier this year, per Deadline, Dollface was canceled after season 2.

3 WandaVision

Dennings reprised her role of Darcy in the acclaimed Disney+ miniseries WandaVision. She plays a highly intelligent scientist who is filled with wit. Dennings is a joy to watch on screen and is an absolute scene stealer. She is totally believable as a highly intelligent scientist and was a great addition to the series. According to The Disinsider, Dennings may return as Darcy in future MCU projects.

2 Nick and Nora’s Infinite Playlist

In the charming film about love, music, and New York City, Nick and Nora’s Infinite Playlist, Dennings plays a wealthy teenager named Norah who is obsessed with good music. Over the course of one night, she sparks up a romance with a musician named Nick (Michael Cera). The chemistry between Cera and Dennings was top-notch and Dennings gives an honest portrayal of a good-hearted young woman who is struggling with ex-boyfriends and a crazy best friend. The film, as a whole, is an endearing love story.

Dennings plays Max Black opposite Beth Behrs in the highly acclaimed comedy series 2 Broke Girls. Denning is absolutely hilarious in each episode. She perfectly delivers her smart one-liners, and she gives us an honest portrayal of a young woman struggling to make ends meet in New York City. She shows us a character who is equally funny as she is street-smart. Dennings showed us, with her performance, that she has sheer comedic talent and is perfectly capable of leading a television series. At the same time, her chemistry with Behrs was top of the line with every episode.
