Elizabeth Olsen, 33, and Kathryn Hahn, 49, had a WandaVision reunion on the red carpet at Variety’s 2022 Power of Women Event.
Presented by Lifetime, Variety‘s Power of Women Event took place on Wednesday night, September 28, 2022. The event gathers and honors an intimate group of women in the entertainment industry (selected by Variety) who dedicate time offscreen to various charities and causes. In its 13th year, the event takes place twice a year in both New York City, New York, and Los Angeles, California, with Olsen being honored at the event in LA.
While introducing Olsen, Hahn shared how funny her WandaVision co-star is, as well as how meaningful the actor’s guidance has been since Hahn joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Hahn shared that what truly strikes her about Olsen is her “grace,” her ability “to self-regulate with such focus and clarity and connectedness to herself,” and her “anchored in composure every day under such pressure.”

Hahn, who made her debut in the MCU in 2021’s WandaVision, also starring Olsen, added that Olsen “very generously walked me through blasts and wires and stunts and finding truth on an X on a green screen,” before joking: “She was so patient with all of my questions: Who was Ultron? What is that glove with all the gems on it?”
The Agatha All Along actor continued: “But she was very patient with me as it took me like a solid 40 minutes to 10-one which … is to urinate in the movie business. I have a lot of costume on and a very small bladder.”
Elizabeth Olsen Honored for Her Work at Stuart House

The Power of Women honoree Elizabeth Olsen has worked with Stuart House, a program of the Rape Treatment Center, since 2016, spending time with young children and teens who have been sexually abused. The actor first learned about the program through the UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center-affiliated Rape Foundation when she was prepping for Wind River, a film in which she played an FBI agent investigating the rape and murder of a young woman, according to Variety.
Durine Variety’s Power of Women Event, Hahn spoke to Olsen’s experiences volunteering at Stuart House, saying:
“To so many of us this Scarlet Witch has simply been Lizzie all along,” Hahn concluded her speech. “This decent and kind human, doing what is right for one person at a time.”
This has been — understatement of understatements — a terrifying year for women in this country. And I see that millions of young humans connect with the authenticity in Elizabeth Olsen. It really feels hopeful to me that this is a woman they look up to, this woman who uses her powers for good. She will no doubt continue to do so in her own quiet, humble, honest way. And this private, sacred work that I have just heard about that Elizabeth Olsen has been doing on behalf of these organizations is so powerful, and I am so proud that she is being recognized.
