This is Ke Huy Quan’s first ever Golden Globe nomination, something that the humble actor is sure to be hugely honored and excited by. The actor, who made his debut way back in 1984’s Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom before starring in The Goonies, recently returned to acting following a hiatus of 20 years and has been showered with awards for his standout performance in Everything Everywhere All at Once. His mantle now holds the Gotham Award for Outstanding Supporting Performance, the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor, and the New York Film Critics Circle award for Best Supporting Actor, among others. No doubt a Golden Globe would sit nicely next to them.

The response to his long-awaited comeback has been an emotional experience for Ke Huy Quan, who revealed recently that he was brought to tears by the positivity and kind words from fans. “How often does a man in his 50s get a chance like this? How often do actors get a second act?” he said. “I really hope that if people are reading my story, it gives them hope, it gives them courage to give voice to that dream they once had. It’s so difficult to be an actor in this business, and I want those people who are doubting themselves or have dreams fading away because they think it’s not going to happen…”

Ke Huy Quan’s comeback is all set to continue over the next few years, with the actor now cast in The Electric State from The Russo Brothers. Quan will also join the MCU as a TVA employee in Loki Season 2 from Marvel Studios, and reunite with Michelle Yeoh in the upcoming action-comedy series American Born Chinese from Disney+.
