More success has come in for Everything Everywhere All at Once, as the film has recently scored 11 nominations for the Academy Awards. That follows immense critical praise for the A24 film since its release, so by this point, the news that Everything Everywhere All at Once is leading the Oscar nominations is not surprising. Even so, it’s been described as an “incredible day” for Ke Huy Quan, who’s been nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the film.

In the movie, Quan plays Waymond Wang, the husband of Michelle Yeoh’s Evelyn Wang. Given how the movie delves into interdimensional travel, Quan is essentially playing several different characters, and fans have praised how he was able to do so flawlessly. Fans may also have their favorite moments of the actor in Everything Everywhere All at Once, and for Quan himself, there’s one scene that especially stands out. In a new interview with THR, here’s what Quan said when asked if he had a favorite scene or part of his performance.

Quan goes on to explain how this message in particular was also an element that helped Everything Everywhere All at Once land so well with viewers, and given the positive message it conveys, the scene clearly has a special place in the actor’s heart as well.

Quan also says in the THR interview how “surreal” it has been to be nominated for an Oscar, calling it an “incredible day.” Quan has already won several awards for his performance in the film, but there’s nothing quite like going to the Oscars. Along with Quan’s nomination, other cast members up for acting nods include Michelle Yeoh, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Stephanie Hsu. The film is also up for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Original Score, Best Original Song, Best Costume Design, and Best Film Editing.
