The Matrix and John Wick star Keanu Reeves will star in the next movie from 22 Jump Street and Don’t Look Up star Jonah Hill. The mysterious project, titled Outcome, will see Hill go behind the camera as director with Reeves now attached as the movie’s lead.

Revealed courtesy of Deadline, Outcome has been written by both Jonah Hill and Ezra Woods, and will be produced by Hill’s Strong Baby banner. Details of the plot are currently being kept under wraps, but simply knowing that Jonah Hill will direct Keanu Reeves should be more than enough to have both audiences and bidders excited when studios and streamers are given the chance to purchase distribution rights to the project.

Jonah Hill is mainly known for comedic roles in the likes of Superbad, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Get Him to the Greek, This is the End, 21 Jump Street, and its sequel, 22 Jump Street. The actor made his directorial debut back in 2018 with the coming-of-age comedic drama Mid90s, which stars Sunny Suljic, Lucas Hedges and Katherine Waterston, and follows a 13-year-old boy who begins spending time with a mostly older group of skateboarders while living in 1990s Los Angeles.

The movie was well-received by critics, with Hill set to helm the upcoming documentary Stutz, which details conversations had between renowned psychiatrist Phil Stutz and Hill himself.

Keanu Reeves Will First Return as John Wick in Next Year’s John Wick: Chapter 4

Before teaming up with Jonah Hill, beloved actor Keanu Reeves will first reprise one of his most iconic roles as he returns as the unstoppable hitman John Wick in John Wick: Chapter 4. The sequel finds John Wick uncovering a path to defeating the High Table. But before he can earn his freedom, Wick must face off against a new enemy with powerful alliances across the globe and forces that turn old friends into foes. Now, with the price on his head ever-increasing, John Wick: Chapter 4 sees Wick takes his fight against the High Table global as he seeks out the most powerful players in the underworld, from New York to Paris to Osaka to Berlin.

John Wick: Chapter 4 will reunite Keanu Reeves with his The Matrix co-star Laurence Fishburne, who believes that the upcoming sequel is the best outing so far. “Number four is gonna be … honestly, when I read it, I was like, this is the best one … it just was,” the actor declared. “From the way that it opens, there are like 3 or 4 really incredible set pieces that are just like, woah. There are new characters, one, in particular, that’s so much fun. Well, actually three are crazy fun, and yeah, you know, I got to be in it again. I come back from the dead.”

Starring Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, Donnie Yen, Shamier Anderson, Rina Sawayama, Bill Skarsgård, Hiroyuki Sanada, Scott Adkins, and Clancy Brown, John Wick: Chapter 4 is scheduled to be released on March 24, 2023, by Lionsgate.
