Kill Bill star Vivica A. Fox has called for Quentin Tarantino to finally do the right thing for audiences and make a third outing. Speaking recently with Variety, Fox declared that “people are hungry” for another installment in the martial arts movie franchise, with Fox waiting (im)patiently for Tarantino to make the announcement and get the long-awaited project going.
Word of Kill Bill Vol. 3 has drifted in and out of the rumor mill and reports for some time now, with several names being thrown around for who could take on the lead role of Fox’s revenge-driven daughter. Fox, who played rival assassin, Vernita Green, a.k.a. Copperhead in the first Kill Bill, has her own casting ideas and has once again called for Euphoria star Zendaya to pick up a sword and cut a bloody path through the Tarantino sequel.
“People are hungry. Quentin [Tarantino], let’s go! I’ve been waiting. They said it’s going to be my daughter growing up. I know he’ll figure out some kind of way…maybe I’ll be in a flashback. I’d love to work Quentin again and I’d love to work with Uma again. It was a lot of training.”

But, while she seems quite determined to get Kill Bill 3 off the ground, Fox admits that she has not spoken with Tarantino for some time.
“Zendaya… she’s beautiful, she’s amazing. She’s winning Emmys. We’d have to fit it in her schedule. She’s killing the game.”

“I haven’t talked to Quentin in a little bit. The last time I saw him I got invited to a party during his Oscar run for [Once Upon a Time in Hollywood], the film with Leo [DiCaprio] and Brad [Pitt]. He had a great party on Sunset. Now he’s a dad! He might be taking some time to enjoy fatherhood.”
Kill Bill Vol. 3 Could Star Zendaya & Maya Hawke
HBO
This is far from the first time that Fox has called for Spider-Man: No Way Home star Zendaya to play an older version of her daughter. Discussing the potential of a Kill Bill threequel back in 2020, Fox revealed her dream casting for the role of Nikkia, the character originally played by child actress Ambrosia Kelley in the first outing.
“I haven’t got any official word… I had a feeling that hopefully [Tarantino] was waiting on [the actress who plays] my daughter to grow up a little bit,” Fox said before adding, “I was doing an interview and they asked, ‘What young actress would you get to play your daughter?’ and I was like, ‘No, Ambrosia!,’ but they meant an established actress. So I went, ‘Zendaya!’”
So, not only has the lead of Kill Bill Vol. 3 already been chosen, but so has another major character, with Uma Thurman’s real-life daughter, Stranger Things star Maya Hawke, saying that she would love to join a Kill Bill sequel as the daughter of The Bride. “There are always rumors about that. Quentin is on his own darn schedule,” Hawke said in 2021. “He’ll do what he wants when he damn well wants. But I’ve known him my whole life and if he ever wanted to work with me again, of course, I would love to.”
While there has been no official word on whether Kill Bill Vol. 3 will ever happen, many Tarantino fans (and even Tarantino himself) have suggested that it could be the iconic director’s much-discussed final film.
