The highly anticipated new series Koala Man recently released the official trailer, with MovieWeb proud to present the latest look at the upcoming show. Koala Man follows a father who transforms into the titular hero when his city is in danger, to varying results. The series has already gained an eager fan base, partly due to the stellar cast, including legendary actor Hugh Jackman as Big Greg, known for his iconic role as Wolverine in the X-Men franchise, along with countless notable parts in films such as The Prestige, Prisoners, and many more.

The series sees Michael Dockery (YOLO: Crystal Fantasy, Jar Dwellers SOS) and Maik Hempel (Rashman: Splicey Splice Splice, Smiling Friends, Monster Beach) in the director’s chair. Michael Cusack, who stars in Koala Man, also created the series, with Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit serving as additional writers. The official trailer, released courtesy of Hulu’s YouTube channel, can be found below.

MOVIEWEB VIDEO OF THE DAY

“They call me Koala Man. I’ve made it my life’s mission to clean up our streets, help the innocent, and snuff out evil.” In the trailer, we get a glimpse at the titular character’s crime-fighting skills, which has some room for improvement, to say the least. Koala Man isn’t your average superhero, though his heart is undoubtedly in the right place. Whether he’s falling from trees and twisting his ankle or fixing the “bloody internet” for Big Greg, Koala Man is always looking to make a difference.

Koala Man is nearly ready for release, with all eight episodes of the first season premiering on Hulu later this month, with a release date set for Monday, Jan. 9.
