While Russell is not on Instagram, he was able to see the post, thanks to Goldie Hawn - Russell’s wife and Hudson’s mother. In the comments, Hawn reveals that Russell was very happy to see the post as he had never seen that particular photo. The words Hudson spoke also caused Russell to get a bit emotional, as divulged by Hawn.

Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn Have Become Mr. and Mrs. Claus
In recent years, Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn have been sharing the screen and Mr. and Mrs. Claus in The Christmas Chronicles and its sequel. Russell has teased that playing Santa Claus might be the last role of his career if The Christmas Chronicles 3 ends up happening, and if that turns out to be the case, there couldn’t have been a better way for him to ride off into the sunset than for his longtime love to be by his side.
“[Kurt] said to me, ‘I want to walk into the sunset, this being the last role I play,’” director Chris Columbus said in 2020. “He wants to continue doing it. Deep down into his soul, he’s committed to this role.”
Columbus also teased that they are “certainly set up to open this world even more” following the release of the second film, but as of now, there hasn’t been any news on The Christmas Chronicles 3.
