A trio of new clips from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever offer another glimpse at the Marvel sequel. The first comes courtesy of Rotten Tomatoes and finds Danai Gurira’s Okoye and Letitia Wright’s Shuri meeting Dominique Thorne’s Riri Williams — a meeting that does not go too well.
Judas and the Black Messiah star Dominique Thorne will make her debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as Riri Williams, gradually becoming the latest Marvel superhero, Ironheart. In the clip, Okoye and Shuri want to take Riri back to Wakanda with them, but Riri is not so sure and very quickly decides to freak out instead. Of course, Riri does not know who she is messing with, and Okoye lets her know by saying she will come back with them “conscious or unconscious.”

The second clip comes via Jimmy Kimmel Live and packs a much more emotional punch. The footage finds Okoye (Danai Gurira) and Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) sharing their grief over the death of Wakandan king and former Black Panther, T’Challa, played by the late Chadwick Boseman.
Lastly, the third clip comes via Twitter user @XMen97News and offers another look at Tenoch Huerta’s debut as Namor.
Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever finds Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba) fighting to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda.
First Reactions to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Have Praised the MCU Sequel
Marvel Studios
The first reactions to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever have now come pouring in following the recent premiere, and the consensus seems to be that the Marvel sequel is one of the most poignant and powerful offerings in the franchise.
Black Panther: #WakandaForever is as epic as Marvel sequels get. The story is hugely ambitious & thematically rewarding with gut-wrenching twists and turns throughout,” reads one reaction. “You feel the length but it’s fun, wildly beautiful and has the best credits scene in Marvel history, no contest.”
“Black Panther: #WakandaForever is Marvel’s most poignant and powerful film to date,” says another. “It’s heavy and dark in the way that it needed to be, and mostly abandons the studio’s trademark tone. The craft work levels up in every conceivable way, and the performances rise to the occasion.”
Directed by Ryan Coogler, who has co-written the screenplay with Joe Robert Cole, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever stars Letitia Wright as Shuri, Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Florence Kasumba as Ayo, Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams aka Ironheart, Michaela Coel as Aneka, Tenoch Huerta as Namor, Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross, and Angela Bassett as Ramonda. Additionally, the rest of the supporting cast will include Isaach de Bankolé, Dorothy Steel, Danny Sapani, Mabel Cadena, Alex Livinalli, Kamaru Usman, and Richard Schiff.
