Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is one of the most highly anticipated projects from Marvel Studios, and there’s a ton of pressure on the film after the loss of Chadwick Boseman. The late actor was the titular character of the 2018 film Black Panther, and his presence alone made the movie one of the most memorable in the MCU catalog.

Now, Wakanda Forever will move on without Boseman, as another character will take the mantle. Although it’s yet to be confirmed, the brand-new trailer certainly looks like Letitia Wright’s Shuri will be the next Black Panther, vastly expanding the character we’ve seen in her previous three feature film appearances. During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actress discusses what Wakanda Forever and her role meant to her.

Of course, a significant Marvel role is bound to be life-changing, as the audience she reaches will be bigger than ever with the upcoming sequel. Fans can look forward to seeing Shuri, Ironheart, and Namor, as we’ve seen brief glimpses of the characters in the latest trailer. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever releases in theaters on Nov. 11, later this year.

Letitia Wright Shares Details Regarding On-Set Injury

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever relies heavily on Letitia Wright to become the franchise’s new star. However, filming on the project came to a halt last year when the 28-year-old actress suffered an on-set injury resulting in a critical shoulder fracture and concussion, requiring a brief hospital stint.

During her chat with EW, Wright discussed her injury and how director Ryan Coogler helped her through the whole process.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever stars Angela Bassett, Martin Freeman, Tenoch Huerta, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, and Winston Duke alongside Wright. Fans will be filling up local theaters when the Ryan Coogler-helmed film lands in cinemas on Nov. 11.
