Image Entertainment has finally managed to buy the theatrical rights to Odd Lot Entertainment’s Suburban Girl and Undead or Alive. According to Variety, the company has been trying to acquire these films for years. The western comedy Undead or Alive stars James Denton as a Union Soldier who hooks up with a heartbroken cowboy played by SNL’s Chris Kattan. The pair decided to rob a local sheriff, only to find themselves fighting of an army of the undead....

We last reported on a film called Paper Wings way back in 2006, when New Line Cinema wasn’t folded into Warner Bros. and now it seems the film has a new studio home and could have two high-profile lead actors. The Los Angeles Times is reporting that Tom Cruise and Reese Witherspoon are in talks to star in Paper Wings. The film is now being set up at Sony and the film was said to revolve around a rodeo champion, which Cruise would play, who falls for a talented new country singer, which Witherspoon would play....

It looks like that Starship Troopers TV show with the original cast is closer to happening than originally thought. Jake Busey has confirmed that he and Casper Van Dien have spoken to Ed Neumeier about the series and talked about their potential returning roles. Neumeier first hinted at the TV revival back at the beginning of this year, and fans of the original movie started to get very excited. However, there were no further updates until now....

Jamie Chung (The Hangover Part II), Christian Serratos (The Twilight Saga) and Scout Taylor-Compton (Halloween) have signed on to co-star in Takashi Shimizu’s (The Grudge) thriller 7500. Written by Craig Rosenberg (Lost) and produced by Takashige Ichise (The Grudge) and Roy Lee (The Ring), 7500 follows a group of passengers who encounter what appears to be a supernatural force while on a transpacific flight. John Middleton and Tracy McGrath are serving as executive producers....

Supernatural star Jared Padalecki has revealed what seems to be our first look at how he’ll appear as Cordell Walker in The CW’s Walker, Texas Ranger reboot. After wrapping up a 15-year run playing Dean Winchester alongside Jensen Ackles as brother Sam, Padalecki decided to stick around on the network by immediately picking up the starring role in Walker. In a new teaser to promote the upcoming series, Padalecki speaks directly to his fans to invite them along to check out the show when it debuts early next year....

Last month we reported that Universal Pictures pulled the plug on The Dark Tower, the massive adaptation of Stephen King’s novel series which would span three movies and two TV seasons. Despite this setback, producer Brian Grazer and director Ron Howard are not giving up on the project. Brian Grazer recently stated that they are, “trying to get outside financing to make it, and distribute it through a major [studio].” When the project was set up at Universal, the studio was fully financing and distributing both the movie trilogy and the TV series....

While Indiana Jones fans are looking forward to the release of the upcoming fifth film, many still fondly look back at the original trilogy from the 1990s. At D23, there was a moment when Harrison Ford reunited with Short Round actor Ke Huy Quan, with whom he co-starred in 1984’s Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
