Season 2 of Invincible will soon get underway and it sounds like the violent animated series will be even more “bonkers” when it returns. From The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman, Invincible is based on the comic book series of the same name by Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley. Steven Yeun, who previously worked with Kirkman on The Walking Dead as the fan favorite Glenn Rhee, leads the voice cast of Invincible as the titular rookie superhero....

Director James Cameron is currently prepping to shoot the highly-anticipated sequels Avatar 2 and Avatar 3, which will be released in 2014 and 2015 respectively. The filmmaker recently revealed that he wants a much higher frame rate, shooting 60 frames per second for these sequels. Here’s what he had to say below. 24 frames per second has long been the industry standard, although movies such as The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, are shooting at 48 frames per second....

Ain’t It Cool News recently emailed James Cameron about the status on his new film Avatar. Here’s what the director had to say… Avatar is in post-production in New Zealand and the film is currently set for a December 18, 2009 release. Things are going well on Avatar, or at least as well as can be expected on such a ridiculously complex project. We’ve wrapped principal, and most of the live action portion of the movie is already cut....

One of the highlights from the most recent episode of Peacemaker is a long rant from John Cena where he just names off a bunch of celebrities and fictional characters. According to star Steve Agee, Cena improvised this entire rant and James Gunn encouraged him to go as long as he wanted to. Agee plays John Economos in Peacemaker, reprising his role from The Suicide Squad. The actor was also the stand-in for King Shark, who was later voiced by Sylvester Stallone....

Johnny Depp’s next movie will stream on Netflix in France 15 months after its theatrical premiere. The streamer has licensed La Favorite, a French period film starring Depp as King Louis XV, to stream in France only. Contrary to earlier reports, the movie is not a Netflix film and is not being financed by the streamer. La Favorite will be driected by Maiwenn Le Besco and the plan is to shoot the film over the summer....

Not only does Deadshot appear in this upcoming episode, Hawkman returns, and we will witness the debut of Hawkgirl. After Lois (Erica Durance) departs for Egypt, the Daily Planet hires a new reporter by the name of Cat Grant (guest star Keri Lynn Pratt) to take her place. An assassin named Deadshot (guest star Bradley Stryker) takes aim at Cat, but Clark learns the man has a dangerous hidden agenda that involves The Blur....

Kite Man is getting his own series, and that calls for the character’s catchphrase: “hell yeah!” Created by Bill Finger and Dick Sprang and making his first appearance in Batman #133 in August 1960, Kite Man has always been one of the most obscure villains in The Dark Knight’s rogues’ gallery. He has often been treated as a joke, although recent writers like Tom King have given the character some added depth in recent years....

Zoe Kravitz has produced some proud parents with her acclaimed performance as Catwoman in Matt Reeves’ The Batman. Kravitz has been heaped with praise from fans and critics alike, but one person who was sure to make his voice heard was her father, Lenny Kravitz, who expressed his pride through a Twitter statement following the film’s release. Kravitz was one of the first to take to Twitter to express his pride and support towards his daughter’s captivating performance....

We haven’t heard much about the highly-anticipated Ghostbusters 3 for quite some time, but now Bloody-Disgusting has uncovered some intriguing new information about the impending sequel. The site reports that Bill Murray’s Peter Venkman was actually the father of Dana Barrett’s (Sigourney Weaver) newborn son Oscar, who was introduced in Ghostbusters 2. The site goes onto report that Oscar will be 21 years of age in this new film, and that he will be one of the younger crop of Ghostbusters that will take over the business from the original four characters, Venkman, Egon Spangler (Harold Ramis) Ray Stantz (Dan Aykroyd) and Winston Zeddmore (Ernie Hudson)....

Better Call Saul comes to an end on AMC this summer, but the network isn’t done with Giancarlo Esposito. Per The Hollywood Reporter, it has just been announced that the actor will star in and executive produce The Driver for AMC and AMC+. This marks the third collaboration for Esposito and AMC after the actor was featured in both Breaking Bad and its spinoff series, Better Call Saul, both of which have earned tremendous critical acclaim....

Gladiator 2 is finally moving forward after over two decades of speculation. Director Ridley Scott revealed in November last year that a script is complete and will be the British director’s next production. He is also directing the Joaquin Phoenix-led Napoleon, which is currently filming and will premiere sometime next year. The Gladiator 2 screenplay was written by Peter Craig, whose stock has skyrocketed this year following the release of the box office smash The Batman, which he co-wrote with Planet of the Apes franchise director Matt Reeves....

Glass Onion is a movie that has brought enormous viewership to Netflix but appeared to miss out on a huge potential box office result by focusing on being a streaming exclusive other than a very limited theatrical run. Just how big a hit the movie is has become even more apparent, with the Rian Johnson-directed Knives Out sequel becoming the third most-streamed movie in a week ever across all available streamers....

Granville Adams, best known for starring roles in Oz and Homicide, has died at the age of 58 after a battle with cancer. The sad news was shared by the actor’s Oz co-star Kirk Acevedo, who along with Oz showrunner Tom Fontana also paying tribute to the star on his own Twitter account. Adams was initially diagnosed with the disease in December last year, and he shared the news with his followers by posting the simple caption “F-CK CANCER!...

Fox Broadcasting Company (Fox) and Paramount Television announced today that superstar singers, dancers and actresses Julianne Hough (Safe Haven, Rock of Ages) and Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical, Spring Breakers) have been cast in leading roles in Grease: Live (working title). With Julianne Hough as the angelic “Sandy” - Rydell High’s most talked-about newcomer - and Vanessa Hudgens as iconic bad girl “Rizzo,” this first-ever live television production of Grease will re-imagine the hit crossover musical for an entirely new generation....

The MCU is currently the highest-grossing movie franchise of all time, and it doesn’t show any signs of slowing down. We’ve been blown away by the beautifully crafted tales of many heroes, but none strike us quite the way the God of Thunder does....

House of the Dragon has been full of VFX shots and CGI galore, and the crew responsible for crafting the world of Westeros through computer technology has been hard at work on the series. Whether it’s wide shots of King’s Landing and Dragonstone or getting up close and personal with the many dragons featured in the series, the work done by the VFX artists has been tremendous.
