The new teaser trailer for the Hulu animated series Solar Opposites gives us our first look at the new show from Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland. As can be seen in the teaser, the art style of Solar Opposites is very reminiscent to the look of Rick and Morty, and it’s clear that the new series will feature the same unique sense of humor as well. Needless to say, big fans of the Adult Swim series will especially want to have this series on their radar before the series launches this May....

You can bring home director Christopher Nolan’s 2002 thriller home in high definition this July. Insomnia will be released on Blu-ray on July 13. Magnolia Pictures has released the first trailer for Jack and Diane, director Bradley Rust Gray’s indie romance that doesn’t exactly follow John Mellencamp’s song of the same name. Juno Temple and Riley Keough star as the title characters, two American kids who fall for each other in New York City. Their relationsthip takes a turn for the worse when Diane reveals she is moving away from the city. Take a look at the first footage from this Big Apple romance....

Jimmy Smits is confirmed to return as Nero in Season 6 of Sons of Anarchy, with his character slated to appear in all 13 episodes. Nero was introduced in Sons of Anarchy Season 5 as a gangbanger-turned-companionator (someone who brings other people together) who begins a close relationship with Katey Sagal’s Gemma. Series creator Kurt Sutter expressed at the end of last season that he wanted to further explore this relationship, but that Jimmy Smits’ busy schedule might be an obstacle....

Focus Features today announced that it will open Burn After Reading, the new film from Joel and Ethan Coen, Academy Award-winning directors of this year’s Best Picture Oscar winner No Country for Old Men, domestically nationwide on Friday, September 12th. Joel and Ethan Coen are writers, producers, and directors of Focus Features and Working Title Films’ Burn After Reading. The film stars Academy Award winner George Clooney, two-time Academy Award nominee John Malkovich, Academy Award winner Frances McDormand, Academy Award nominee Brad Pitt, and Academy Award winner Tilda Swinton....

WWE superstar turned actor John Cena told the full story of his famous catchphrase. In his WWE matches, Cena would often wave his hand repeatedly over his face while looking at his opponent, a move he dubbed the “You can’t see me.” While promoting his new HBO Max series Peacemaker on The Tonight Show, Cena (in full costume as the DC character, no less) brought up the origins of the gesture, explaining to Jimmy Fallon exactly how the whole thing started as a dare that has since become inspiration for countless invisibility memes on the internet....

Celebrated action movie director John Woo will direct an English-language remake of one of his own most beloved movies, The Killer. The project was officially announced courtesy of a press release from Peacock saying, “celebrated action auteur John Woo returns to reimagine and direct his own classic, The Killer,” meaning that John Woo will get another shot at bringing The Killer to life once again. Further details regarding the remake are scarce, but with John Woo at the helm, we can safely assume that this version of The Killer will adhere quite closely to the 1989 original....

From her stunning big-screen moments to her equally impressive performances on the small screen, award-winning actress Kate Winslet has always managed to wow audiences regardless of her role. However, during the Titanic star’s recent chat with The Sunday Times, Winslet revealed that she’d experienced her share of undesirable aspects of the entertainment industry thanks to cruel remarks from a former agent. The actor said that early in her career, her former agent told the Little Children star to settle for so-called “fat girl” roles....

Kevin Costner is going digital. According to Variety, the actor has decided to produce, finance, and voice the animated series The Explorers Club. The twelve-part series will air on the internet this coming Christmas season. Costner is hoping to build an audience with the four-minute shorts. If they reach the level of popularity he is expecting, he will turn the animated series into a live-action feature film, which he will star in....

Fox has ordered 13 episodes of the new drama series Touch, created and written by Emmy-nominated Tim Kring (Heroes), it was announced today by Kevin Reilly, President of Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company. Touch, starring Emmy and Golden Globe winner Kiefer Sutherland, will join the schedule in the spring of 2012. The pilot was directed and executive-produced by Francis Lawrence (Water for Elephants), and the show comes from Chernin Entertainment and Tailwind Productions, in association with 20th Century Fox Television....

Legends of the Hidden Temple is coming back to TV, but it won’t be on Nickelodeon. Instead, the popular gameshow from the early 1990s is coming to Quibi, with some major changes. While the original version of the show was for kids, the upcoming reboot lets adults get in on the fun. Nickelodeon ran the original series from 1993 to 1995, spanning 120 episodes. Quibi’s mobile video platform is also developing a version of Comedy Central’s Reno 911 season 7 with the original cast and crew....

It seems like just yesterday that Good Girls was making its debut on NBC. But it’s already gone through three crazy seasons, and continues to amass a huge fan base. Today, the cast received word that the comedic drama has been renewed for a fourth season and will hopefully debut this fall, depending on how soon production is allowed to ramp up. Warner Bros. has set Greg Berlanti to direct Green Lantern, a live-action take on the DC Comics superhero. Variety reports that Berlanti will write the script with Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green. Berlanti hopes to make the jump to big-budget fantasy fare after serving as writer and exec producer on character-driven TV series Brothers & Sisters, Everwood, Jack & Bobby and Dawson’s Creek. He previously directed the 2000 feature The Broken Hearts League....
