From old-school psychological thrillers like The Shining to the original slasher films like A Nightmare on Elm Street, horror films cover a variety of topics meant to thrill audiences and get the adrenaline pumping. While many horror films have done so successfully, not all horror films are genuinely scary. Hot off his casting in The Boys, could Jeffrey Dean Morgan be joining another ultra-violent superhero series at Prime Video? Morgan, who’s perhaps best known for playing Negan in The Walking Dead, was previously announced for the cast of The Boys, joining that show’s upcoming fourth season in a mystery role. On Sunday, the actor shared an image to Instagram of himself with a pair of compendiums for Invincible comic books, courtesy of Robert Kirkman, who helped created both Invincible and The Walking Dead....

MTV has unleashed 4 new promo trailers, a behind-the-scenes photo gallery and a slew of photos from the promo shoot of the 4th season of Jersey Shore, which airs on August 4th. With every new season of Jersey Shore, MTV holds a private photo shoot to capture the camaraderie (and intermittent rivalry) between the castmates, as well as the essence of the area where the show was filmed. For Season 1, we shot pics of our then bright-eyed unknowns on the beach in Seaside Heights; for Season 2 in Miami, we set up shop on a rooftop pool to reflect the city’s glam lifestyle; for Season 3, we were back to basics at the Shore, snapping the international superstars hangin’ inside their rental home and riding a colorful boardwalk carousel; and for Season 4 in Florence, ‘course we just had to explore the windy cobblestone streets in which they walked to work every day and wandered around wasted every night....

Jessica Alba is the latest actor to discuss issues with diversity within the film industry. The film is directed by Sam Raimi and written by Raimi and his brother Ivan and is produced by Rob Tapert, Grant Curtis and Josh Donen. Comic book creator Mark Millar has been working on a new series for Netflix entitled The Ambassadors. The series, which he describes as “Willy Wonka with superpowers,” will center on six characters from six different countries, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Millar sees this new project, The Ambassadors, as an opportunity to tap into the streaming site’s desire to have content tailored for different regions while also hoping that this could be the start of an on-screen franchise....

Steven Soderbergh is back with another suspense thriller. KIMI is about an agoraphobic tech worker who discovers recorded evidence of a murder. When she tries to report it, she is met with resistance. The plot revolves around her trying to find a way to get justice while managing her agoraphobia. KIMI stars Zoe Kravitz as Angela Childs in the leading role, along with Rita Wilson, Byron Bowers, Jaime Camil, Jacob Vargas, Erika Christensen, and David DelGaudio in supporting roles....
