Depp is suing his ex-wife, Aquaman star Amber Heard, over an op-ed she wrote for The Washington Post in 2018 describing herself as a survivor of horrific abuse. He wants $50 million in damages, alleging the op-ed had cost him his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean 6; Heard has counter-sued for $100 million, alleging Depp has defamed her....

Actor Garrett Hedlund is in negotiations to join the cast of Inside Llewyn Davis for StudioCanal and directors Joel Coen and Ethan Coen. The story centers on Oscar Isaac’s title character, a folk musician during the 1960s who navigates throughout the Greenwich Village scene. It isn’t immediately known who Garrett Hedlund will play, but he will join a cast that includes Carey Mulligan, Justin Timberlake, and John Goodman, if his deal is finalized....

Hayden Christensen is on board for the lead role in director David R. Ellis’ upcoming thriller The Genesis Code, based on the novel by the same name written by John Case. Hocus Pocus 2 may not have received the highest praise from critics, but the Disney legacy sequel has set a new record for the number of minutes watched, according to figures released by Nielsen. Their weekly streaming chart for the week ending October 2 shows that 2.7 billion minutes of viewing time were attributed to the spooky sequel, which is the highest amount ever recorded for a movie in one week....

Home Improvement stars Richard Karn and Tim Allen reunited this week as the two have begun work on their new television series.
