Of course, that reality would only have existed if Sony and Disney had not managed to come to a new agreement in 2019 after parting ways for a short period when it looked like the whole deal between the two companies which allowed Spider-Man to be part of the MCU was about to be snapped away like half the universe in Avengers: Infinity War....

Lifetime Television has ordered production of State of Mind, a quirky and comedic new drama series starring Lili Taylor (“Six Feet Under”) as a brilliant, take-charge therapist whose personal problems rival those of her eclectic and offbeat patients, it was announced today by Susanne Daniels, President, Entertainment, Lifetime Entertainment Services. “State of Mind” joins the previously announced “Army Wives” as the second new drama to be ordered for 2007. Filmed in Los Angeles, the ensemble cast is led by Taylor and also includes Derek Riddell (“No Angels”), Mido Hamada (“The Path to 9/11”), Kevin Chamberlin (Two-time Tony® Award winner, Broadway’s “Dirty Blond,” “Seussical”), Lolita Davidovich (“The L Word”), and Devon Gummersall (“Relativity,” “My So-Called Life”)....

USA Today revealed a first look at DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek Forever After, which is the fourth and final film in the series. Shrek Forever After will hit theaters and IMAX in 3D on May 21st. The first trailer will be unveiled with James Cameron’s Avatar, which opens on December 18. Director Mike Mitchell said: It has been rumored that Paul McCartney voices the vile schemer, but it is actually non-Beatle Walt Dohrn, the film’s head of story, who does the honors....

Actress Samantha Ware has accused her former co-star Lea Michele of making her first TV job a “living hell.” Ware starred on the hit Fox musical series Glee alongside Michele during the show’s sixth and final season in 2015. It served as Ware’s first major TV acting gig. However, in a recent social media post, Ware says that Michele’s actions made her question a career in Hollywood at all. The exchange was sparked after Lea Michele, who played one of the leading roles, Rachel Berry, on Glee, posted on Twitter in support of George Floyd....

Howard Stern has condemned Johnny Depp’s behavior during his ongoing defamation trial, calling him a “huge narcissist.” Depp has sued ex-wife Amber Heard for $50 million for an article she wrote in The Washington Post in 2018 that implied Depp abused her during their marriage. Heard didn’t mention the Pirates of the Caribbean star’s name and has counter-sued for $100 million. Hugh Jackman has been offered the Huntsman role in Universal Pictures’ Snow White and the Huntsman. It isn’t known if Jackman will accept the role or not, but it seems Universal is exploiting a new opening in the actor’s schedule. Last month, we reported that director Darren Aronofsky had stepped away from The Wolverine, which Hugh Jackman is set to star in. Reports have surfaced since then that indicate 20th Century Fox is in no rush to find a new director for this X-Men spin-off....

A new trailer for Insidious: The Last Key has arrived online ahead of the sequel’s release in theaters next month. Australian actor Damon Herriman has joined the cast of Clint Eastwood’s J. Edgar, which will begin principal photography early in the New Year, according to Indie Wire. Charlize Theron is also in talks to join the film as Helen Gandy, a Justice Department file clerk who ended up being Hoover’s personal secretary, working for him for more than 50 years. Damon Herriman will portray Bruno Hauptmann, the man convicted of kidnapping and killing the Lindbergh baby....

Reality television star James King, best known for appearing on the TLC series My 600-lb Life, has passed away. Reportedly, King died on April 3 at Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, and while an exact cause of death wasn’t revealed, King had a history of health issues which may have contributed to his passing. He was 49 years old. King was first highlighted on My 600-lb. Life on TLC in 2017....

Janeane Garofalo is set to appear on the upcoming season of Fox’s popular series 24. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Garofalo is the second major cast addition this year. The Comedian-Actress will be playing a government agent who is assigned to investigate the crisis that befalls agent Jack Bauer in the new season.
