During the 45-minute talk, the stars spoke about their career experiences, and Lawrence reflected on her role as the lead character in The Hunger Games franchise. Actor Ken Watanabe will step into Clint Eastwood’s shoes for a Japanese samurai remake of the 1992 Western classic Unforgiven. Sang-il Lee (Hula Girls) will direct the remake, entitled Yurusarezaru Mono (A Thing That Can’t Be Forgiven). Ken Watanabe will play an exiled samurai with a history of violence who lives in the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido. He is pulled out of retirement for one final job. Kôichi Satô will play the Little Bill Daggett role originated by Gene Hackman, while Akira Emoto will star in the Ned Logan role originally played by Morgan Freeman....

It seems that the producers behind last year’s hit comic book adaptation Wanted are going back to the comics again. According to ICv2, Kickstart Entertainment has optioned the comic book Dear Dracula for a feature film adaptation. The comic book was written by Joshua Williamson and illustrated by Vincente Navarette and the story revolves around a young boy who loves horror movies and decides to start writing letters to Dracula, the same way children write letters to Santa Claus on Christmas....

Lars von Trier is returning to television for the first time in 20 years, with the filmmaker writing and directing the drama series The House That Jack Built. The filmmaker’s producing partner Louise Vesth announced the project at the Venice International Film Festival during a press conference for the director’s cut of Nymphomaniac Volume II, which was released in theaters and VOD formats earlier this year. No plot details were revealed, but Louise Vesth said that Lars von Trier will start working on the script this fall, with shooting scheduled to commence sometime in 2016....

A desperate man in a hellish landscape fights to survive on a precarious quest for riches. Gold is a lean parable of the blinding nature of greed. Zac Efron gives a quiet and strikingly physical lead performance. Much of the film depicts his solitary struggle. Gold doesn’t offer many surprises. The outcome is fairly predictable. But the protagonist’s descent into savagery and terror is fascinating to see. Gold takes place in an unknown remote, arid, and dusty setting....

The 2020 Grammy Awards marked a historic night for Billie Eilish, but that didn’t provide the telecast a boost in the ratings department. Marvel star Dave Bautista has confirmed that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be his final appearance in the MCU. The wrestler-turned-actor has played Guardians of the Galaxy staple Drax since the first outing in 2014 and has now revealed to GQ that the upcoming third outing will be his last Marvel performance. You can bring home the latest season of a popular medical drama home on both DVD and Blu-ray at the end of August. House: Season Six will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on August 31. We don’t have any cover art images or pricing details as of yet, but these five-disc sets will contain all 21 episodes of this latest season. The series stars Hugh Laurie, Omar Epps, Olivia Wilde, Lisa Edelstein, Peter Jacobson, Jennifer Morrison and Robert Sean Leonard....

SEGA of America, Inc. and SEGA of Europe Ltd today announced a continuation of their existing partnership with Marvel Entertainment, Inc. to include Iron Man 2 the video game. The multi-platform title is slated to come out in 2010 along with the Marvel Studios film of the same name, a sequel to the 2008 box office triumph distributed by Paramount Pictures. “We are thrilled to build on the success of the Iron Man phenomenon and work with Marvel and Paramount on another epic project,” says Simon Jeffery, President of SEGA of America, Inc....
