The critically acclaimed Albanian-Kosovo production, Hive, is scheduled for release in UK cinemas on 18th March. The film courted a wide array of success at film festivals, most notably at Sundance last year when it set new records despite being a foreign language film. Hive became the first film in history to win all three major awards at Sundance, the Audience Award, the Directing Award, and the Grand Jury Prize. Hive also made the shortlist for Best International Feature at the upcoming 2022 Academy Awards but sadly did not make the list of final nominees....

The Sanderson Sisters must fly in the latest clip from Hocus Pocus 2. Released courtesy of Walt Disney Studios, the clip finds the three witches at first lost and confused in the modern world before once again finding their powers and taking flight. Hulu today announced the launch of its new monthly subscription service Hulu Plus, which will enable users to watch TV shows through more outlets by paying a $9.99 per month fee. The pay service will also enable users to watch every episode of each show’s current season, instead of just a few random episodes at a time. Jamie Foxx shared details of how he convinced Cameron Diaz out of retirement for the upcoming film Back In Action. The actress retired from acting in 2018 to focus on family and other projects. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight for the comedy-horror Netflix film Day Shift, where Foxx stars as a vampire hunter, Foxx said he simply asked Diaz: Foxx’s simple pitch proved effective as Back in Action will mark Diaz’s return to the screen....

FX has cast two-time Academy Award-nominated actor John Hurt in The Strain, the pilot based on the best-selling vampire novel trilogy from Academy Award-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro and author Chuck Hogan. Hurt joins the previously announced Corey Stoll, Kevin Durand, Mía Maestro, Richard Sammel, Lauren Lee Smith, Jonathan Hyde and Miguel Gomez. Hurt will portray Professor “Abraham Setrakian,” a holocaust survivor who immigrated to the United States after World War II and now runs a pawn shop in Spanish Harlem....

The televised defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard wraps up on Friday, and as jurors head into deliberation, they were left with some final thoughts from both legal teams. Depp’s attorney, Benjamin Chew, told jurors that Heard’s claims that she had been physically assaulted by Depp on a frequent basis didn’t make sense. Chew argued how Kate Moss and other exes from Depp’s past have stated he’d never been violent with them, nor has anyone else publicly accused Depp of violence before or after Heard’s accusations hit the press....

It’s been almost two full weeks since actor Julian Sands was reported missing in the Southern California mountains, and despite multiple efforts to find him by air and on the ground, not a single trace of him has been found. On Jan. 13, Sands was reported missing by family when he failed to return after going for a hike in the Mt. Baldy area. Authorities located his car near the area where he was reported missing, but the search is still on for the veteran British actor....

We may finally be getting that Dredd sequel after all. Just not in the way that many of us had imagined. We learned in May that a TV series titled Judge Dredd: Mega-City One is in the works and that the producers were hoping that they could coerce Karl Urban to reprise his role from the 2012 movie.
