Turning 52 years old, Renner had been critically injured on New Year’s Day while operating a Sno-Cat snowplowing vehicle. A freak accident had resulted in the vehicle crushing Renner, resulting in extensive injuries and emergency surgery to save his life....

Filmmaker John Stockwell has signed on to direct Code Name Geronimo for Voltage Pictures. Kendall Lampkin wrote the screenplay, which is based on the real-life Navy SEAL mission to eliminate Osama Bin Laden. The story goes inside a small Navy SEAL unit and explores the tensions rising within the group, until they discover who their true target really is. Code Name Geronimo is the actual name for the SEAL mission which ended in Osama Bin Laden’s death....

Johnny Depp has been so impressed with Rob Marshall’s work on Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides that he wants the director to helm a remake of The Thin Man for Warner Bros., according to Vulture. Although there isn’t a script or a writer attached at this moment, Johnny Depp has been “aggressively courting” Rob Marshall to direct this new take on the 1934 classic. Depp is eager to play the lead role of Nick Charles, and will develop the movie through his Infinitum Nihil production company along with Warner Bros....

With production on the sequel to Joker (2019) now in full swing and much of the cast officially announced, fans have been scrambling for any and all new developments on the project. This newest one may be a bit more off-the-cuff but nonetheless enticing. Per a report from CBR, a photo posted by a user on Reddit has revealed the new working title for Joker 2 to be “Juliet.” A change-up to the film’s initial French-inspired title “Folie à Deux,” “Juliet” is definitely a more Shakespearean choice, and is nonetheless appropriate in many ways for the musical sequel....

British actor Julian Sands is missing. Last Friday, Sands’ family reported him missing after he was last seen going off for a hike in the Mt. Baldy area of the Southern California mountains. Per ABC7, the 65-year-old is one of two missing hikers in the area as rescuers ramp up their efforts to find the two, though the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department says that inclement weather, icy conditions on rough terrain, and limited air resources have hindered their progress....

According to Sutherland, screenwriter Billy Ray finished the film’s script a couple of weeks ago, with the star planning to read it when he returns to the States. The film will condense the show’s 24-hour time-frame into two hours, meaning the plot won’t be constrained by geography....

There is some big movie news coming out of Austin, Texas today. While on the set of Predators, the current re-imagining of the popular alien franchise, we learned that veteran actor and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation star, Laurence Fishburne, has been cast in a pivotal role in the upcoming re-boot. According to the director of Leaving Las Vegas, neither he nor Nicolas Cage were paid the money promised to them for the movie, even when it went on to win Cage his only Academy Award for Best Actor. Leonardo DiCaprio is set to make his animated debut as the voice of Jack Frost in DreamWorks Animation’s The Guardians. A brand new trailer for Gotham season 5 is here to set up the final run of episodes for the DC series. The Good A solidly put together set that offers something for people of all ages. The Bad Nothing. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe is one of those shows that I started off watching and then I think it got preempted by shows like What’s Happening!! during my afternoons after school. Still, I remember the look and ideas behind the show and it’s nice to see that they have been preserved so well here on DVD....
