About a year and a half ago, character designers and story artists Jeffrey Thomas and Celeste Green were approached by DC Studios to create an animated series called Gotham High, which revolved around the high school years of Bruce Wayne and his most vicious adversaries including the The Joker, the Penguin, Killer Croc, Bane, and more. According to Thomas, the project got lost in a sea of other Barman related projects that were in the works....

Marvel has its sights set on Hailee Steinfeld for a major role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s come to light that the Oscar-nominee has been offered the role of Kate Bishop in the upcoming Hawkeye TV series, which is in the works for the Disney+ streaming service. Should things proceed according to plan, Steinfeld would star alongside Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton in the series and, in all likelihood, she would be a major part of this universe moving forward....

HBO has picked up the new drama series Luck, it was announced today by Michael Lombardo, president, HBO Programming. Luck is a provocative look at horse racing - the owners, gamblers, jockeys and diverse gaming industry players. Luck begins shooting this fall at Santa Anita Park and other Los Angeles locations. “Michael Mann delivered a pilot from David Milchʼs brilliant script that took our breath away,” notes Lombardo. “We are truly excited that these two artists, and our extraordinary cast headed by Dustin Hoffman, will be bringing Luck to life....

HBO doesn’t see anything wrong with how Jerry West or anyone else is portrayed in the new series Winning Time. Created by Max Borenstein and Jim Hecht, the series is based on the original book Showtime: Magic, Kareem, Riley, and the Los Angeles Lakers Dynasty of the 1980s by Jeff Pearlman. For anyone looking to recapture their love of the original series, this trailer did not disappoint. Picking up in the summer of 1995, 16 years after That ’70s Show ended, the sequel centers on Eric Forman and Donna Pinciotti’s daughter Leia (Callie Haverda) as she visits her grandparents in Point Place. Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith are back as the cheerful Kitty and perpetually grouchy Red, respectively, not losing a step in the decade and a half since they last played these roles....

Collider.com has learned that the trailer for the new Will Smith action extravaganza I Am Legend will be attached to Ocean’s Thirteen with an online premiere right before. In addition, the site has learned that Alien vs. Predator 2 will be premiering their trailer down at ComicCon in San Diego at the end of July. Alien vs. Predator made over $170 million at the worldwide box office, so although the movie did not garner overwhelmingly positive reviews, it did make enough for the studio making a sequel....

In a story from Variety, Imprint Entertainment, the production entity that made Twilight and New Moon, has put together a deal with South Korea’s Mirovision to remake Ahn Byung-ki’s The Phone. The project was recently announced at a press conference in Seoul on Thursday by Imprint Entertainment’s president Mark Morgan, and Mirovision president Jason Chae and Ahn. “I thought Korean horror films would succeed in Hollywood once Korean directors steer the remake projects, just as The Grudge and The Ring series were successful,” stated Ahn, who is directing the remake....

James Cameron and Andrew Adamson are teaming up for a brand new untitled 3D movie that is set inside the world of Cirque du Soleil, according to Deadline. Andrew Adamson will direct using James Cameron’s 3D camera system. Cameron will produce this new project, which has already started production. They will use 3D-captured performances from different Cirque du Soleil shows in Las Vegas and insert them as the backdrop for a mysterious world that the main character is magically transported into....

A man was allegedly seen abusing a dog by actress Jena Malone, and the Sucker Punch star wasn’t going to stand for it. In a story originally reported by NBC Los Angeles, it was revealed that Malone was involved in an incident with a man and his dog on April 5. According to Malone, the suspect was “kicking repeatedly a small dog” and “yanking him up in the air and absolutely choking” the helpless animal....

The Law & Order franchise may be just as popular as ever with three ongoing shows currently on the air, but John Oliver is not a fan. The Tony Awards aired on CBS on Sunday night and the ceremony has drawn some criticism from John Stamos over snubbing his late Full House co-star, Bob Saget. Ahead of the ceremony making it to air, Stamos had already been informed that Saget would not be included in the show’s In Memoriam segment. This did not sit well with Stamos, who took to Twitter to voice his disappointment over Saget’s exclusion, feeling that his stage work qualified the actor for the honor....

Nearly three months after John Wesley Shipp was cast in a mysterious role in The Flash pilot, The CW has confirmed that the actor is portraying Henry Allen, the father of Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen. The ongoing trial involving Johnny Depp and Amber Heard has many fans criticizing Disney and Warner Bros. for the roles Depp has lost in recent years. According to Depp, allegedly false allegations made by Heard had cost him his roles as Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean 6 and Gellert Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. Depp’s agent also testified that Depp would have been paid over $22 million for Pirates 6 before the sequel was dropped after Heard wrote an op-ed for The Washington Post describing herself as a survivor of domestic abuse....

The new FX TV series Justified will debut its first season on Blu-ray and DVD on January 25. The three-disc set will be priced at $39.95 SRP and the three-disc Blu-ray will be priced at $49.95 SRP.
