Iman Vellani, who’s set to make her debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel in the eponymous Disney+ original, seems to be a true Marvel fan. Ms. Marvel comics’ series creator, Sana Amanat has revealed that the young actress sent her a list of feedback for all the previous MCU films, critiquing their filmmaking aspects. Sony Pictures Classics announced today that they have acquired all US rights to Academy Award nominee Agnieszka Holland’s In Darkness from sales agent Beta Cinema. The Dark Knight Rises continues production in Los Angeles this week, and there are rumors that the Scarecrow has been spotted on set. Shooting took place at L.A.’s Union Station on Wednesday, which doubled for a Gotham City courthouse. One of the scenes being shot features Gary Oldman’s Jim Gordon and Marion Cotillard’s Amanda Tate, who are forced to see a mysterious judge. MTV Movie Blogs recently caught up with George Lucas at the press day for Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and they of course asked him about the proposed Indiana Jones 5 sequel, which was originally supposed to center around Shia LaBeouf’s Mutt Williams character. As of this moment, the famed director is thinking in another direction. It seems that Mutt won’t be the central focus of a fifth film at all, and he might not even return for a cameo in the proposed film....

Last week, producer Jon Landau confirmed that Avatar 2 and Avatar 3 will be shot back-to-back, but Avatar 4 will not be included. Director James Cameron revealed that there are still plans for Avatar 4 in the works, and that it will be a prequel to Avatar. Ending the eager speculation of who will land the starring role, MTV today announced that Jessica Alba will take the spotlight as leading lady of the 2006 MTV Movie Awards. Star of both big screen and small, Alba will host the MTV ceremony, as well as star in its leading role as this year’s show promises to be more than an award show, but a movie unto itself. The TV community is in mourning once again after another beloved small screen star has passed away. John Hillerman, who is best known for playing Thomas Magnum’s estate caretaker in the iconic 1980s TV series Magnum P.I., has passed away at the age of 84, at his family home in Houston, Texas. Lori De Waal, a family spokesperson, confirmed the actor’s death with the Associated Press, although no cause of death was given at this time....

Rumors are swirling that Joker may be getting a sequel. Jon Bernthal doesn’t have a crystal clear picture of where exactly his acting career will take him next, but the star of The Punisher still hasn’t quite moved on from Frank Castle. Along with every other Marvel-based series on Netflix, The Punisher was brought to a premature end when the streaming giant axed the show. Prior to its abrupt end, however, Bernthal had excelled in his performance as the titular vigilante, and fans are still holding out hope for seeing him return in a revival series or even in a theatrical Marvel movie....
