That’s a wrap on Indiana Jones 5. After spending years in development hell and dealing with multiple delays and other problems throughout production, filming has now officially been wrapped on the upcoming sequel. The news comes straight from producer Frank Marshall who made the announcement on Twitter by posting an image of an “Indy” hat given to the cast and crew as a wrap gift. Zoe Saldana will play the man’s wife, who ends up moving out of the house, leaving him with their children....

Kevin Feige always has a plan for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it seems that plan doesn’t always stay the same. Director Rod Lurie is taking on the challenge of remaking Straw Dogs, one of Sam Peckinpah’s most notorious thrillers. Lurie has made a casting update via his Facebook page, stating that both James Woods and Dominic Purcell have joined the cast. The director revealed the two new cast members by stating, “Beginning stunt rehearsals today with James Woods and Dominic Purcell.” He did not indicate exactly what types of stunts the two would be doing in the film....
After two months of repeats, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Night with Conan O’Brien will resume broadcasting all-new episodes beginning Wednesday, January 2, 2008 (11:35 p.m., 12:35 a.m., respectively). Actor Joe Pesci is temporarily suspending his retirement and officially joining the cast of Bupkis. The Goodfellas star is slated to star in Pete Davidson’s slightly exaggerated autobiographical sitcom on Peacock as the 28-year-old comedian’s grandfather. Also starring alongside the two will be former The Sopranos and Nurse Jackie actress Edie Falco, who will play Pete’s mother. A Goodfellas actor and a Sopranos actress. How gangster, right? Actor John Dunsworth, best known for his portrayal of Jim Lahey in the comedy series Trailer Park Boys, has died at the age of 71. Dunsworth’s daughter told a Canadian news outlet that her father passed away after a brief and “unexpected illness”. John Dunsworth was well-known for his part in the series Trailer Park Boys, where he played a cop-turned-security guard named Mr. Lahey for 11 seasons, hilarious as an often-inebriated yet still lovable foil for the boys’ dastardly plans....

Police sources believe that Empire star Jussie Smollett staged his racially motivated attack at the end of January. Smollett claimed that he had been jumped by two men in Chicago who were “yelling out racial and homophobic slurs.” The actor also claimed that they were using slogans from Donald Trump supporters and then said that one of the two men put a noose around his neck while the other threw bleach on him....

The backlash generated from Dave Chappelle’s Netflix comedy special The Closer is still lingering, but Kevin Hart has made it clear he’s standing by his friend and fellow comedian. Even though Keifer Sutherland has been sentenced to 30 days in Los Angeles County Jail, production on his popular Fox television series 24 will not be affected. According to Variety, the actor pleaded no contest to a charge of driving under the influence. Sutherland is scheduled to spend an extra 18 days behind bars starting December 21st for a prior conviction. This stint in the slammer will fall conveniently during 24’s holiday hiatus....
The L.A.’s Finest season 2 trailer has arrived. Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba are back, returning for the second season of the Spectrum Originals hit series. The Sony Pictures Television-produced 13-episode drama will drop the first three episodes exclusively to Spectrum video subscribers free On Demand (and without commercials) on Monday, June 8th, after which new episodes will drop every Monday until the finale. Kung Fu Panda director John Stevenson has agreed to direct the animated sequel Gnomeo & Juliet: Sherlock Gnomes for Rocket Pictures. We first reported on the sequel back in March, when Gnomeo and Juliet writers Andy Riley and Kevin Cecil signed on to write the screenplay. The story centers on Gnomeo and Juliet hiring the great detective Sherlock Gnomes, when several of the gnomes have gone missing. Gnomeo and Juliet stars James McAvoy and Emily Blunt are expected to return as the title characters, although no deals have been finalized yet....
