Ahead of 2021’s Star Trek Day, Star Trek: Picard surprised fans with an announcement: veteran Star Trek actor Annie Wersching, who started her career playing Liana on Star Trek: Enterprise, was joining the cast as a Borg Queen. With the announcement, the actress technically (which is the best kind of correct) becomes the fourth person to take on the role of the Collective’s seductive matriarch/monarch. The Borg Queen’s first appearance in 1996’s Star Trek: First Contact introduced the world to one of the greatest villainesses in sci-fi history....

Hulu will introduce the new Hellraiser in October, and the promotion has started with the release of an all-new teaser trailer for the reboot. Warner Independent Pictures (WIP) has set October 13 for release of its Truman Capote biopic Infamous – which covers the same period in author’s life that Sony’s awards-winning Capote did, according to Variety. There had been speculation of whether WIP would drop the film from it’s lineup, given the overlap of the two pics, however Films, which is producing Infamous for the studio began shooting after Capote ended production. Capote may have opened the doors for Infamous by creating interest in the iconic author....

Kim Kardashian may be making the move to the big screen. She is a front runner for a role in the Untitled Gotti Project. The reality star is in contention to play Kim Gotti, the daughter-in-law of mafia boss John Gotti. We reported at the end of January that John Travolta is in talks to portray John Gotti. It seems he is now attached to the project. Kim Kardashian has reportedly met with producers, who are interested in casting the reality TV star, although no deals have been signed yet....

Perhaps because Johnny Depp has had a recent resurgence in popularity, the iconic motorcycle used by the actor in the 1990 film Cry-Baby is going up for auction with a six-figure opening bid. As TMZ first reported, GWS Auctions currently has Depp’s screen-used 1955 Harley Davidson Model K from the film up for auction with a minimum bid of $250,000. Potential buyers will need to place bids in $25,000 increments if they hope to claim the bike....

Jordan Peele has proved that as a director, he can make some pretty good movies, having had massive hits with Get Out and Us. Grizzled action man Gerard Butler will soon return to doing what he does best, being a grizzled action man, in the upcoming war thriller Kandahar, which has now landed a release date. Studio Open Road Films, who won the US rights to Kandahar last year, has now revealed that the Butler-led movie will hit theaters in time for Memorial Day weekend on Friday, May 26, 2023. Kandahar finds Butler leading the way as Tom Harris, an undercover CIA operative, who finds himself stuck deep in hostile territory in Afghanistan....
