The upcoming movie One Life has rounded out its cast with Helena Bonham Carter. Per Deadline, the movie will also star Anthony Hopkins and Johnny Flynn, whose casting had been previously revealed. A drama set during the Holocaust, the film is inspired by the true story of Nicholas Winton, a London stockbroker who devised an elaborate plan to rescue hundreds of children in Czechoslovakia from invading Nazis. The title comes from the Jewish Talmud, “Whoever saves one life, saves the world entire....

There’s no way you can make Ice Cube get vaccinated for Covid-19, even if it means taking away $9 million. Last year, it was announced that Ice Cube had been cast in the comedy Oh Hell No! alongside Jack Black, but it wasn’t long before he parted ways with the project. Just a few months later, it was revealed that he’d exited the production after he was asked to get vaccinated, as this was mandatory for the cast and crew....

The Team Unicorn Saturday Action Fun Hour! pilot for Adult Swim has been cast and is currently in production. Danger Maiden Productions’ Clare Grant and Rileah Vanderbilt will executive produce and star alongside original Team Unicorn member Milynn Sarley (How I Met Your Mother) and Alison Haislip (Attack of the Show) as both Team Unicorn and their cartoon counterparts. Jane Lynch (Glee) voices the villainous Dark Puba, Alan Tudyk (Suburgatory) voices her sidekick, Chummy Cherub, Tara Strong (The Fairly OddParents) voices Billy, the boy with the ability to summon Team Unicorn, and Kevin Shinick (MAD) is the show’s announcer, a staple of the cartoon shows that inspired the pilot....

Acclaimed actor Javier Bardem just might be the biggest E.T. fan of us all. Bardem, whose recent roles include Aaron Sorkin’s Being the Ricardos and Denis Villeneuve’s Dune, was recently interviewed by Vogue. Joely Richardson is returning for the fifth season of the hit FX drama Nip/Tuck, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She is set to appear in 15 of the 22 episodes of the show’s upcoming season, starting with Episode No. 2 and will earn approximately $1.5 million (i.e. ~$100,000 per episode). Richardson’s return to Nip/Tuck follows months of speculation about the future of her and her character on the show, prompted by comments in the press made by Richardson in November regarding a serious health issue with her teen daughter....

While 2012’s John Carter is considered to be one of the biggest box office bombs in history, this is not due to its quality, as the movie has garnered a passionate fan following since release. Though we will sadly never see the planned sequels come to fruition, director Andrew Stanton has now detailed what we would have seen happen to John Carter had the franchise been allowed to continue. Speaking at San Diego Comic-Con (via Collider), Stanton revealed that the next John Carter installment would have been titled Gods of Mars, and would have picked up after John had been away from Mars for a decade....

Johnny Depp ended his testimony on Monday for his ongoing defamation trial with ex-wife Amber Heard with his continued insistence that he’s never physically struck her or any woman, no matter how volatile the couple’s fights might have gotten. Alleging that false accusations of domestic violence made by Heard had cost him his roles in the Pirates of the Caribbean and Fantastic Beasts franchises, Depp is suing his ex for $50 million in damages....

Saw IV’s Darren Lynn Bousman isn’t probably too happy about this news, what with his Repo! The Genetic Opera going into production. It seems another film about organ repossession is getting made as well. According to Variety, Jude Law and Forest Whitaker have joined the Universal film The Repossession Mambo. The project has the exact plot description as Bousman’s Repo!, only its not a musical. The script centers on artificial organ replacements that can be bought on credit....

The supposed final outing in the Jurassic franchise, Jurassic World: Dominion, will receive an extended edition when it lands on Digital, 4K Ultra HD, and Blu-ray next week. Universal Pictures will give fans even more dino-action for their buck with an extra 14 minutes of footage “featuring more dinosaurs, action, iconic character moments and an alternate opening.” Not only that, the home release will also feature a stack of extras, allowing viewers to delve into the VFX, how the dinosaurs were brought to life, and a whole host of other behind-the-scenes goings-on....
