A very scary moment happened behind the scenes during the production of the 2007 movie P.S. I Love You, as star Gerard Butler has revealed. In the romantic drama, directed by Richard LaGravenese, Hilary Swank stars as a married woman whose life is forever changed upon the death of her husband, played by Butler. After his death, she starts to receive letters he’d written before his passing, helping to help guide her navigate through the loss and move on to the next chapter of her life....

More than two decades since its critically acclaimed, award winning release, a sequel to Ridley Scott’s Gladiator is now in development. Despite the ending of the first movie seemingly wrapping everything up, Scott has revealed that the script for Gladiator 2 has now been written, and that, thankfully, they have found a “logical” way to continue the legacy of Maximus. There have been rumblings of a Gladiator sequel in the past, with the “logical” way back into the story expected to be the continuing adventures of Lucius Verus, the young son of Lucilla, played in the first movie by Spencer Treat Clark....

LAIKA Entertainment has signed Golden Globe Award-winning actor Ian McShane to join the cast of its first animated feature film, Coraline. Focus Features has worldwide distribution rights to Coraline, which stars Dakota Fanning, Teri Hatcher, and the British comedy duo of Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. LAIKA, Inc. president/CEO Dale Wahl and Focus CEO James Schamus made the announcement. The stop-motion animated feature with CG effects has been adapted by LAIKA supervising director Henry Selick from Neil Gaiman’s international best-selling book Coraline....

After 38 years, Harrison Ford is rooting for Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom co-star Ke Huy Quan. A former child star, Quan memorably played Short Round in the Raiders of the Lost Ark sequel alongside Ford as Indy. Earlier this year, the pair reunited at D23, as Ford was there to promote Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny while Quan was representing Everything Everywhere All at Once....

Netflix’s Seven Deadly Sins captured the hearts of audiences when it reached the streaming platform back in 2015. The anime follows the exploits of Princess Elizabeth and the band of knights known as the Seven Deadly Sins, in a high-fantasy fictional world that resembles medieval Europe. The epic story spanned five seasons and one hundred episodes. Every filmmaker has those projects that go from development to the reject bin without seeing the light of day, and James Gunn has confirmed that the stories about one such project involving the Guardians of the Galaxy is not only true but began shooting before it was canceled. Among the revelations made in the new book, The Story of Marvel Studios: The Making of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Kevin Feige talks about how the Guardians of the Galaxy almost had some short prequel films, which would have introduced many of the characters and their backstories prior to the first movie’s release in 2014....
