In anticipation of the Disney+ upcoming Japanese original series, Gannibal, the network has released its first trailer. With a storyline taken straight from Masaaki Ninomiya’s bestseller Manga series, Gannibal has a unique storyline exclusive to the network. The show is set to premiere on Dec. 28, only on Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar. Takamasa Oe and Teruhisa Yamamoto adapted Gannibal for the screen. Their work on Ryusuke Hamaguchi’s Academy Award-winning feature Drive My Car earned them both Oscar nominations earlier this year....

Golden Globe nominee Jason Lee, who was the lead character on Raising Hope creator Greg Garcia’s My Name Is Earl, has signed on to guest-star in the upcoming “Burt Rocks” episode of Raising Hope. Lee will play Smokey Daniels, a washed-up rock star who is hired as the lead act at “Grocery-Palooza,” a rock concert at the supermarket where Sabrina (Shannon Woodward) works. Smokey was once Burt’s (Garret Dillahunt) musical idol, and Burt hopes to relive his rock-star years by playing backup for him at the concert....

Premiere Magazine has posted an interview with actor John Hurt who is appearing in Steven Spielberg’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which arrives in theatres on May 22. Jumanji 4 suffered various delays over the years. Because of this, while the movie seemed like a safe bet at first, fans are starting to wonder if it will actually happen. The original Jumanji movie was directed by Joe Johnston. It starred Robin Williams as the unlucky Alan Parrish, who discovers a strange-looking board game and finds himself dragged into a terrifying jungle world after a losing streak. When two kids, played by Kirsten Dunst and Bradley Pierce, pick up the game decades later and bring Alan back, it’s up to the three of them to restore the balance and finish the game once and for all....

Cast and crew of the FX series Justified: City Primeval had quite the scare with production shutting down due to a real-life gun battle making its way to the set. Per Deadline, the incident happened on Wednesday evening when two cars reportedly drove through one of the set’s barricades with occupants from each vehicle shooting at the other. Lead star Timothy Olyphant was present along with other cast and crew members who “hit the ground and took cover,” and the good news is that there were no apparent injuries....

Kevin Bacon has officially wrapped production on the Tremors pilot that he is shooting for SYFY. The show has been shooting in New Mexico, out in the desert, where Bacon’s Valentine McKee has been forced to fight deadly Graboids once again. The actor shared a final set photo before departing. And he had these words to offer as a good-bye. It sounds like Kevin Bacon had a good time. And from the photo, we get a sense of the fallen hero that Valentine has become....

Director Kevin Smith has been discussing his reunion with A-lister and frequent collaborator Ben Affleck, who will make a cameo appearance in Smith’s upcoming sequel, Clerks III. Speaking with Variety, Smith described working with Affleck again as “blissful” and offered several details regarding how Affleck will factor into proceedings. Not many cinematic monsters are more iconic than the gigantic gorilla, King Kong. Appearing in many movies since his first debut in 1933, including a surprising amount of remakes and a few epic monster crossovers, most recently of which, pitted the gorilla against the almighty Godzilla once more, in Godzilla vs Kong. With that, the King Kong movies come with a varied degree of quality; the original and Peter Jackson’s King Kong are nonetheless epic movies, but some of his crossovers in the 20th century weren’t as great, as fans watched as someone in a gorilla costume prance around and occasionally punch his monstrous opponent in the face....

George Clooney is heading to the Warner family on two new films, the crime drama, White Jazz for Warner Independent Pictures and the crime thriller, Belmont Boys for Warner Bros. Pictures.
